Reviews
Course condition is awesome
With the lack of rain, years ago this course would have been dryer out and brown. It was a great surprise to play a beautifully manicured, lush and GREEN golf course. The greens were fast and true. Fairways were perfect. The staff was awesome! Great way to start a holiday weekend!
Awesome Value
Incredible deal and perfect conditions
Very nice
Great value for the money..
good city course
Course had a good feel. Well maintained the greens were a little stodgy but playable. Par fives can reached in two by average player but the greens on them are small. Will play again.
Prairies
Nice layout. Front nine flat, back nine hilly.
Greens small, mostly flat and in good condition.
Great Day of golf
Course is in excellent shape. Very enjoyable round of golf. Greens and fairways were in excellent shape! Grass was mowed very well and course looks beautiful!
Will definitely go back soon!
Fun Fair course
Great par 3s fairays fine need to play again. Enjoyed all 18 holes☺
First time at Prairies!
After some thunderstorms and rain, the tee times were cancelled due to water, but the staff were nice enough to call us back and let us know they'd honor our tee time! The weather was perfect when we went. Unfortunately, a league was playing and since they were stopped during the storms, my partner and I had to do a lot of waiting when they resumed. Overall, the course was well-kept & the ranger was very nice! He saw my 60 degree on a green and tracked me down to return it! I recommend this course for intermediate/junior/senior players.
Nice course... incredibly slow play (esp considering I played here on a Wed morning)
Incredible value on GolfNow ($10/player). What I don't understand is why my tee time was even served up on GolfNow. The course was so busy (lots of twosomes and even some singles), that serving up my tee time at such am extreme value simply created more of a backup on the course (I was one of the many twosomes). Course was in nice shape, but doubt I would book again (even at $10/player) because I don't want to play a course that is terribly back up and takes 5-1/2 hours for a twosome to play.
One last note... greens were incredibly fast. This only serves to slow down play even more. I've never 3 putted so many greens.
Good value
I really like the course. Mature trees. Greens are firm and a decent size for an old course. Yes, a cash infusion would help the clubhouse but the course is maintained quite well. Other than leagues it moves along at a good pace.
Great time and value.
Don't hesitate to play here. Challenging and fun!!!
Good Value but clearly struggling financially
Enjoyed the round with fast pace of play, decent course conditions, and an affordable price. The cons were you could tell the course is struggling as the carts hadn't been washed in weeks (trash, grass, cig butts, etc...) all over the cart, the facility was also dirty, and course attention to detail also lagging. All in all though when you pay under $20 to play 18 riding in under 3 hours I wouldn't complain and would go back.
Nice course
I am always amazed at how great the condition of the course is. The fairways and greens are awesome!
The Prairies fairways and greens were great!
Smooth putting surfaces and nicely manicured fairways. Some of the bunkers need some tlc more sand. Definitely worth playing.
Great Value
Hadn't played here in over 10 years. The course was in very nice shape, greens rolled fast and true(except for the whirly bird seeds from the maple trees, we played on a very windy day and they were everywhere).
Would play again.
Course still rough.
Fun but greens are still in rough shape. No water in most of ball washers. Wind damaged Praries sign on West Main entrance is still damaged from last year. Not a good first impression as you drive into course. I am sure course will be looking good once we get some warm weather. Sure hope so as I have always enjoyed the Praries.
Fall Repair
The course was in excellent condition and challenging but the back nine was having work done on the greens and several greens were unavailable with the pin placed in the fairway. Had I known this I would have played a different course.
Don't golf here
The course has a terrible layout. Staff is rude. Started to sprinkle so they tried to kick us off so they could close up shop early and leave. Rather do a round of miniature golf then golf here again. Any golfer knows golfing in rain is not fun but a slight mist is no big deal.
Nice round on a good course for the money
I played the course with another single who was playing it for the first time as well.
Nice fairways and greens tees were being aerated but okay
