2nd Round at red Oaks
Very nice course. It's short but that's fine with me. All around it was a very good experience. One thing they could do is mark the direction of next hole better. Especially from 3rd green to 4th tee.
Red Oaks Before Work
Got out at 7AM, seemed like they booked to many at this time. Second guy off, got done in 1hr and 10 min. Greens are nice, but very slow, can mess you up when you go to other courses. Overall a great quick place for 9 holes before or after work.
Golfer friendly - quick nine
Nice executive course. Played a fast pace on a Friday Morning. Greens and fairways were in great shape. They did top dress the greens so they were a little slow.
Nice 9 hole course
Short par 31 course but still can be somewhat challenging. Good after work course that demands solid iron and wedge play!
Nice course
Nice course! Nice carts too. Love the course layout. Not overly challenging for beginners. Well kept greens.
Great Practice Course!
Red Oaks is an excellent practice course that is in fantastic condition. A real pleasure to play and a great value.
Excellent Course
I am a beginner golfer. This course is excellent for me and beginners alike. The staff is friendly and the grounds are well kept. I will continue to go here to improve my game.
Red oaks
Course in great shape , beautiful clubhouse , friendly staff , great little 9 hole course , pleasantly surprised .
Exceptional Value
The course was in very good shape. The greens were the best I've played on this year, Perfect practice course. Played as a twosome and we were done in just over an hour. Can't beat the price either. Only cost $6 per person including cart using Golfnow.
golf
9 hole par 31 ' Green in great shape so was rest of the course
Short but nice
Only a par 31, but in good shape. Work on your short game and enjoy. Well worth the price. I'll be back.
Great course but poor staff
Watch out for the Starter (Mike). He is rude and often lectures you on golf etiquette during your play. I just finished a round with two beginner friends, introducing them to the wonderful, relaxing game of golf. They were already self-conscience about their play and certainly didn't need a disgruntled employee following them everywhere lecturing them on their play. I understand it’s his job to maintain a good pace for other players on the course. I was doing the same by telling my friends to play scramble if they can’t find their shots. A simple “Can you please pick up the pace?” or “Can you let the next group play through?” would have been much appreciated and immediately agreed to without any objection. But this guy was extremely rude and gave the WRONG golf etiquette to push the tempo. I approached him afterwards and told him to be mindful of his comments to beginner golfers. Not only did he not listen, he said we should have finished the course in 2 hours (we finished in 2.5 hr, which is not bad for beginners). I’ve played at many courses all over the country and internationally (County parks to PGA), never have I seen such inappropriate behavior. It is people like this that make it is so hard for beginners to get into the game of golf. I’m sure as fellow golfers, you’ve all been there. Keep in mind this is not a Country Club or PGA course. This is a course for true beginners and young children to start appreciating the game of golf. Because of this guy, I’m not sure if my friend will ever pick up a golf club again. This is extremely sad for the game. Moral of the story is don’t ever let someone turn you off from the game because of bad attitude! Keep trying and the game will come to you. Respect other players by being mindful, but the game should be played when you are relaxed and collected.
Best conditions so far this season
Fairways and greens were in the best shape of any other course I played this year.
Better than you expect
This course is a 9 hole course that has surprisingly good conditions and decently challenging. It is great for a quick after work 9 and is kept in good shape, (very good shape considering the past winter left most courses with spotted greens) I have played it in the past and will play it in the future.
Great and quick
Very nice little course with excellent staff…well maintained also.
