Reviews
excellent course for any calibre player
Excellent facilities and course conditions. Playing smart golf is a must, can be very difficult if you do not play straight. Any player calibre can play here, but it can be tough, although the conditions and views make it all worth it.
Great time, great layout and great condition!
Myself and two friends played this course shortly after major storms rolled through earlier in the day. I had played this course before and was worried that it would be tough to play. They have improved this course drainage and it played awesome! The carts have onboard computers that give all kinds of good info for each hole to include yardages to various points on the course - relative to your location on the course. We used Golfnow.com and it was AN EXCELLENT value. We got aroung the course in about 3:45. Can't wait to play it again!
Fast Grrens Good fairways
Pace was good, this is important to us. Greens very fast and fun to play. Beautiful views.
One of Michigan's Best
We play this course several times a year and it is significantly improved over last year. Breathtaking views await on several holes. The greens were fast and true. Three small nits to pick:
1. We played as a foursome and had to stop three times to let singles play through. This could have been avoided if the pro shop had put these folks together as a threesome.
2. The flag placement on #17 green was unfair. It was on a slope and it was virtually impossible to lag putt within ten feet. Rethink this please!!!
3. The bratwurst that I had at the turn was barely warmed. Pretty sure it would not have met health department standards.
Still, I love this course!
Breathtaking views
I have played this course many times, and it is in excellent playing condition. With many wide fairway's, elevation changes and breathtaking views, Wild Bluff is challenging but fair. It is a course that both men and women find enjoyable. If you are lucky one of the red fox will stop and make an appearance, we had two come out on hole 17 looking for a treat. This is a must play when visiting the upper peninsula.
Great Course at Great Price
I have played Wild Bluff several times. This is the first time through Last Minute Golfer. It was a great deal on a very nice course. It's up on the hill overlooking the St. Mary's River and out into Lake Superior. My favorite course in the area and with Last Minute Golfer, my favorite way to book a tee time!
Awesome day.
The Bluff is in great shape for this time of year. Another few weeks and it will be perfect. Service is the best and what a great value.
Keep it up. A pleasure to play.
Have to play.
Great views from the bluffs on a number of holes. Best place to play in the area!
A great track, with a very friendly staff!
This is a very scenic course with just enough difficulty to make it a fun challenge. There had been lots of rain in recent days, so you couldn't drive your cart on the course, but the weather was so great, it was not a problem. It's not a super easy course, so not a good choice for novices. The pace of play wasn't very good, especially for a weekday morning, which was a surprise since this course is in Michigan's upper peninsula, but it was enjoyable nevertheless. The staff was uniformity excellent! Someone offers to help unload your clubs, and since it was National Burger Day, we had burgers after the round in he clubhouse and they were outstanding, as was the very friendly staff. All in all, a positive experience!
Great Weather for the middle of October
I played the course late in the year in regards to Northern Michigan but overall the course was in good condition. Carts on path only which made for quite a walk but since it was a beautiful fall afternoon it was not so bad. The leaves on the fairways made for more ball searching than was appreciated though. Overall a good day of golf. Will come back next year!
Great Views from course
Weather was excellent and the golf was just as good. We played 18 and had a great time.
Excellent day on the course
Wild Bluff is easily the best golf course in Michigan's U.P. Add to that the great deals found through GolfNow.com and ya just can't beat it. The course is always in great shape, and the staff goes above and beyond what's required.
No help
90deg. Rule do to storms the night before. Greens in good shape, farways couldn't get mowed do to all the rain. No help at the clubhouse at all wet seats , carts , scorecard, no towels.
The Wild Bluff
Awesome views, excellent staff, great food. Take your camera.
AWESOME VIEWS
This course takes full advanatage of its location on Back Bay off the Big Lake. The greens are always a disappointment in that many golfers do not replace their divots. In addition the greens are packed hard and do not have a sand backing allowing the greens guy to mow them tight creating very fast putts.
I would recommend that if you are in this area PLAY THIS COURSE. It is the best in the Soo area.
My once a year treat.
Once a year I play Wild Bluff and as always it stands as one of my all time favorits
Beautiful course, a must play.
Wild Bluff is a very well maintained and scenic course. The course layout gives some beautiful views of Lake Superior. Multiple tee boxes allows all players to play to thier skill levels.
Great course
Great course. A little over watered, and greens difficult to read. Very fast. All in all, was great course.
slow
Took 5:30 to play..slowest round of my life. Entire course backed up. Course does have amazing views, and a good design
