Terrible!!!
Booked on GolfNow and prepaid, my buddy came down with COVID the day before. They wouldn’t let me cancel on the app. Tried calling, kept getting their voicemail. Left a message requesting a refund and to cancel my tee time for the next day. No callback or refund! Just terrible! Are we expected to show up and infect everyone?
Will never book again as they couldn’t even call or pick up the phone to discuss my situation.
Need better communication
As seems to happen more often than not, when I check in with the pro shop and they find out I booked through golfnow, I get treated like a red-headed stepchild. Today the guy told me he couldn't guarantee my spot in the foursome I was paired with because, quote, "We don't know if they want to play with you."
Other times I get booked into a league and have to wait for the league to tee off. The discounted golf rates are great and the app golfnow is easy to use. Just wish there was better communication with the courses
Very slow play
Caught up to a 4 some of very old men each driving their own cart. One teeing every shot up and they would not let anyone play through on back nine of Blue North course. There where a total of 5 twosomes waiting. It took 4 hrs to finish round and we finished front nine in 1hr 10 minutes.
The course was windy that day, which added to the difficulty on some of the holes that were tightly lined with trees which made it slightly more challenging, but the visuals of the water hazards in the sand bunkers protecting the holes Still made Your approach shots seem a little harder mentally. Love the course can’t wait for the next round!
Played north course, was in very good shape.
Course layout somewhat difficult, the 3 courses kind of intersect one another, making play confusing sometimes. Fairways are narrow and challenging, but well manicured. Greens were in good shape as well. Overall the course is definitely worth the price paid on the golfnow app. Would definitely play again.
Good Round of Golf
Course was in very good shape and the pace of play was great. Definitely worth the money
Course was a great value.
Not the first time playing the course. It was in pretty good shape for being early in the season. Greens rolled well, only negative point would be consistency of the condition of the fairways. Overall, good course and great value using the GolfNow app.
Great course for the money
Nice open straight course could use a new parking lot holy cow it’s bad but course looked good for the time of year it is
It was pretty windy when we played, part of a threesome, but we played the West course because we find that one is a little more challenging with the dog legs in layout. Everyone had an oops moment or two and found a little trouble here and there, Which always keeps the game interesting. Will definitely be back!
Challenging course with slopes
I like courses that aren’t just straight, and the course we played which was the West course offered several dog legs to the left and right, plenty of hazards of sand water and deep rough, andThe greens were running rather slow because the grass is spongy, so for those used to playing on fast like greens you’re going to have to adjust your putter speed to make The ball reached a holes on 15 to 25 foot putts which is challenging with the slopes. Overall love the challenge and plan on coming again
When the pace was good, the game went well
This is the second time I played on the West (red) course. Unlike the first time I played on my birthday a week ago, no dumb players in front of me this time.
I booked the tee time at 1 PM, and when I got to the tee box, there were two players were warming up at 12:57 pm, but they were kind enough to let me go first, since I played by myself.
The game went well when you don’t have to wait for 15 minutes on every hole, so I can play with my own pace, completed 18 holes in 2 hours and 15 minutes. The green was relatively fast but not as fast as the Solheim Cup green for sure. I only had two holes screwed because of putting, with an average 1.9 putts per hole which is considerably good.
The fairway and rough were all maintained well, at least I didn’t lose a ball on the fairway like I did on another local public course, the ball roll to the rough were also retrievable, I found another two without searching more than 3 minutes.
The challenges on the West course are the constant elevation changes and mysterious doglegs, it doesn’t require 300 yds driver shots, because it could cause a lot of troubles in lieu of advantages. I still have issues to find fairways after a dogleg after playing the second time here. It’s not like I can’t hit ball to the fairway, but having trouble to read the course. At least on three holes I didn’t know where the green were located, so I had to take rescue/safety stroke to make sure I can spot the green for my next shot.
Overall, I enjoyed this course especially in a nice day without self absorbed players who can’t even hit the ball straight but wanted to play at blue tee box, and then spent next 10 minutes to find the ball after each shot.
