Sunset view of 13th green. Hardest, longest hole in the golf course. Green is deep, look where the pin is Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

17th green. Three tiered with two sections guarded by water. You end up on the wrong third of the green and you may have to putt through some fringe or chip over some rough WITH YOUR BALL ON THE GREEN in order to reach the right tier. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

Left of the 1st green. Tee shot is 40 to 50 feet downhill and approach shot is slightly uphill again. The entire green slopes from back left to front right. Do not go in the left bunker especially with this pin placement. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

Slow pace of play
Took 4.5 hours to play a round. Had 6 groups within two holes on a weekday. The only ranger on the course was sitting in the starter house on his phone and when we called the clubhouse to have them come out to speed up the groups in front of us, they didn’t really seem to care.
Up North Feel and Very Generous to Women
This is my second time playing here this summer. I love this course! It’s in the middle of the state and women get a fair chance to hit the green in regulation.
Down south access with up north feel
Really fun course with lots of elevation change. Challenging enough for low handicappers, but good for all ranges. Work needs done on the tee boxes but still very playable. Go check it out!
Good play but sand traps need improvement
Tees, fairways, and greens were in great shape.
Only disappointment was that the sand traps were hard and unplayable.
Fun round at Devils Ridge
Enjoyed our play at Devils Ridge today. The course was in great shape.....Greens were pretty fast and challenging for us...
Overbooked
An early outing pushed open play back and we were backed up at almost every hole. Some people jumped forward to get past laggers. One twosome was taking 2-3 shots per person although they could easily see we were backed up waiting fir them.our complaint to the starter was forwarded to them but they just ignored him. 5.25 hours for 18 holes, a twosome!! Course as usual was beautiful and well maintained.
Beautiful, Friendly, and Great for the price
This was my second time playing here, hadn't played the course in years. A couple holes had been changed and it was for the better. The course is gorgeous and every hole is so unique from the others. I felt like I had traveled to Northern MI to be on these hills and feel so far away from the city. I met 4 staff members and each one was very kind and helpful. I am a woman so I play from the ladies tees which are very fair for women.
Weird policy
Only course I have ever played that requires a signed document regarding cart and alcohol liability.
That aside the course is in good shape except #3 green. Damage from hydraulic fuel.
The only thing worse than the cart paths is road coming in to course.
The reality is there is a lack of investment into carts and basic things like bridges over wetlands . But this is prevalent at many local courses.
Staff here is top notch.
Day of golf
The course was in very good shape. 3rd green had some dead spots on the green. Greens were in very good shape and fairways were in great shape. To bad that they did not have water coolers on the course on a 90+ degree day.
