Decent Course for the $$; Might give a pass during the pandemic .
The hills provide a decent challenge for the average golfer, although we had rain recently the course was very dry and the greens weren’t very receptive. Layout was well done and was easy to follow as I had not golfed this course in years. The most concerning thing of all was walking into the club house and not seeing any masks or social distancing at all.
Although the mask policy was posted on the door, not even the employees were following it. Fairly rural area I know but felt a much better effort could be made here due to the pandemic.
Great set-up
The course is very cool with the layout, I like how you tee off and need to shoot over the water features.
Great Course
The course was fun to play and conditions were very good the greens were in excellent condition and rolled true. We are recreational golfers and the course met or exceeded our expectations.
Always a great experience
Love this course ...plenty challenging and well cared for
fun layout some easy short hole with hills makes for a fun round
Good Course
Enjoyed playing here it had very generous women’s tees. The course has weathered all the rain pretty well. I will definitely be back again.
What a golf course
Wow what a beautiful setting ...the course was in pristine condition...staff was outstanding ...friendly , professional...will definitely be back again ...cost was outstanding for such a nice course !,
Plan to play often
Great course for our part of the state. Good vaule . We need to support local courses too many are closing.
Satisfied with the course
Not a bad course to play on as a beginner. One of the cheapest courses around the area, worth the money!
Not kept well
Fairways weren’t recently cut making it a nightmare to find your ball with the combo of long grass and leaves everywhere. Staff was friendly at desk but the grounds made it super frustrating to play as one green was partially covered in water. Great value but I guess you get what you pay for.
A good layout poorly maintained = Bad Value
The layout of this course is very challenging. Rolling hills, elevation changes, blind shots, dog legs, water and more. I payed $40 for 18 with a cart and having folded in many other cities across the Midwest and being very familiar with golf in southwest Michigan, this is not a good value due to the course conditions. The fairways were patchy and long, the greens rolled inconsistently from hole to hole, and the course doesn’t handle water well. For example, number 9 green is elevated on a hill, but does not drain and there were puddles of standing water. Fair price would be around $25.
Fun track
It isn't Whistling Straits, but it is very affordable and the people working were very, very nice.
Course in good shape for all the rain
Area has received above normal rainfall this year. Hole 5, a par 3, over a pond was flooded all the way to the green. Though not closed, we chose not to play it because we did not want to get wet or damage the course by trying to play it. Rest of course was in good shape. Several of the difficult par 5’s they have shortened, cleared trees on 18th hole to open it up. All were good changes for the average golfer.
Very wet from recent rains
Nice little course despite areas where rain water had accumulated. Some of the greens were in rough shape. Pace of play was great because course was not crowded.
