The links and crystal lake
This is a city course, it was in good shape for early in the year. The staff is always friendly. I play in a league here, and one thing I can see they have improved is the sand traps. Last year the were extremely hard and packed, the ones I looked at this year appeared to be raked and more fluffy.
Nice course
Started playing here last year- always have fun. The water hazards do add an element of toughness on some holes. The staff is always friendly
It was closed
So I book a hot deal for the links at crystal lakes. We show up. The place is closed took my money. Now I can get ahold of anyone from GolfNow. I can’t find a number anywhere on my app or the site. GolfNow asked to write a review of my round that I didn’t play.
Poorly Managed Golf Course
Booked tee time online through GolfNow for 18 holes and a cart. Check in at the course to only be told they were not allowing carts on the course. After already getting the deal with a cart, they charged us additional $3 for pull cart.
We walked the course and it was in great shape. It’s obvious they did not want to add the staff becausethey only got maybe 5-10 groups out that day. This inconvenience was inexplicable on both the course and GolfNow’s end.
We did not turn around because guys took off work and even traveled 45 minutes. We all said we will not play this course again.
No refund yet
Due to the frost, my team was not allowed to go playing. Since golf course cnacelled my tee time, refund should be done quickly. However the confirmation between golfnow and golf course has not been done yet even though I called cancellation team. This is ridiculus.
I am still waiting for comffirmation on the refund.
Very nice!
After a 1 hour frost delay, we got out and really enjoyed ourselves.
It's a shorter course yardage wise. The staff is friendly and the course is well maintained.
Nice course
Did not see Marshall on course to speed up play. Nice layout. Lots of water on back nine making it more of a challenge. Playing course again next week
Excellent Value
Very nice for a municipal course. Very short yardage, but challenging. Wish the greens were in better condition. They are slow and chunked up. A lot of seniors play here and either they can’t bend down and fix their ball marks or people just don’t know proper golf etiquette.
Great course for different levels of play
Course layout and length are well constructed & executed for various skill levels. Wind/breeze at times added to the days course play experience.
Great round
I've played this course a handful of times, and it's always a lot of fun. The course was probably in the best condition I've seen it in. Very well cut and green fairways. Bunkers were in good shape, too. The greens were recently aerated, but they weren't too bad and putts still rolled true for the most part. First few holes are very manageable and can give you some birdie butts. The pace of play was kind of slow, but I could have finished 18 if I really wanted to. Teed off at 5:30PM and finished 9 by about 7-7:15PM. Hoping to make it out again once or twice before the end of the season. Love playing this course.
The Links at Crystal Lakes
Not a long course, but has it's challenges for the average golfer like myself. Played on a Sunday afternoon and the fairways were a bit scruffy and the greens were recently aerated. But as always enjoy playing the course.
Lovely, scenic walk with some challenging holes
To spend time out doors, in perfect weather on a beautiful golf course, while being challenged by some tricky water holes, all bodes well for a good afternoon of golf, exercise and scenery.
The back nine holes of The Links at Crystal Lake offers some challenging holes, due mainly to the positioning of the water areas around these holes. While ones approach shot to the greens can be tricky due to the sudden run off, thick grass and brush one may find ones self with a difficult lie if you over hit this shot. The fairways were in pretty good condition but some were crowded with geese.
Overall a relatively easy walk around a very scenic course.
Slow play
The course is short as it is...many of the par 4s are drivable, so there's going to be a wait. Saw the ranger once in 18 holes and they failed to advise the foursome in front of us to pick up the pace. Needless to say a 5 hour + round was not what I expected.
