Nice Course, Lousy Pro Shop Service
Very nice, well maintained course. However, service we received from the pro shop was absolute garbage. The guy working the front desk tried telling us we were late for our tee time when we weren’t. He then proceeded to try to make smart comments to our group while we waited 15 minutes for him to figure out how to even use the computer to get us checked in.
Interesting Track
Interesting track with several holes on the front with water and interesting twists and turns on the back. Short in comparison to many other courses. Tees and greens were well maintained. Cart paths and fairways need some attention.
The day we played it was painfully slow with a foursome going at a snails pace. On site staff was very helpful and welcoming. The Pub is an excellent watering hole post golf.
It’s worth playing a round or two. The top five handicap holes do not disappoint!
My go to course when i visit the area!
Love playing this course. Always in great shape. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The fairways are generous with the exception of a couple of target holes that you have to hit a iron or fairway wood off the tee. The greens and tee boxes are in great shape. Everything is in front of you (no tricked up holes or forced carries) to me the best value in the area.
Nice course but terrible staff
Was in a group of 4 on this fall day, barely anyone on the course and with nobody in front of us, ranger says go ahead. We finish 1 but see a twosome ride up on us and we let them pass to be polite. Next thing we know, three more single players following them (using multiple balls), let each of them pass as well. Next thing you know, the marshall is telling us we're not keeping pace of play haha. We explained what happened but he didn't even listen, then told us our round was on a time limit because they wanted the carts in early that day... for real. Like I said, barely anyone on the course, so we easily played our round in 4 hours even after stopping for food at the turn (with the marshall once again insinuating that we couldn't finish the round in time).
Nice course ruined by terrible staff and/or management, avoid and go play somewhere else, lots of beautiful courses up north to choose from.
Great Little Course for the money
Great little course for the money. It’s challenging but not too difficult. The greens, tee boxes and fairways are in great condition. The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed playing the course and would go back again.
Great course
Very nice course. If you keep in play, you score well.
Beautiful day.
Everything was great. Course was in great shape. Could use a bit more signage and I would recommend using an app to understand the layout. Great value. Perfect weather. Highly recommend.
First But Not The Last
This was our first experience with this course and although the pace of play was a slog due to a large group of players in front of us, we most definitely will be back! The set up of the course is challenging but fair. Beware, there are many water holes here with much of it in play off the fairways. Beautiful setting which kinda reminded us of courses in the Carolinas..
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant/bar on site as well along with a pool which can be accessed by the public.
This one is a keeper!
Pure Michigan Golf at Charlevoix Country Club
When you pull into Charlevoix Country Club off of HWY 31 you’re taken down a winding road that leads you to a beautiful clubhouse. As you pull in the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a spacious driving range, pool, and a great putting green adjacent to #1 tee. The Bent Grass on this fun yet challenging course with a beautiful layout sets this course a part from the others. As you make the turn, stop inside to their restaurant which serves great food and cold beverages. As you make your way to #10, don’t be surprised when you pull around the corner and see a family of deer casually strolling through the fairways and into the woods. You’ll see many rabbits and other wildlife. But what makes this course so good is it features what I believe is arguably the most difficult closing holes I have ever played. 15, 16, 17 & 18 demand the best of your game. Golf is won in the final holes and C.C.C. didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend playing this fun and challenging course!
Nice Course
Very nice course for the money considering it is Petoskey area where course are very expensive.
Course was in excellent condition.
Pace of play note may be misleading, I was the first golfer out.
I almost missed my round because my GPS took me to Charlevoix City Golf course which in my GPS is also called Charlevoix Country Club. Also the actual map showed a the Charlevoix Country Club course, but the map called it something different.
New Michigan Course
Friendly staff, beautiful course. Would love to play again
