Great local course with variety
Well maintained, pace of play is great, good price for what you’re getting.Red, Gold, or Blue course - each unique in its own way. The Blue course is beautiful… recommend trying to get on that on if it’s available.
Refund
The course was closed due to water over bridges and I prepaid a reservation and have received no refund
Great place.
Great staff, wish the practice courses had flags. But really how often do you see practice courses. One of my favorites
Great fall condition
Perfect fall day for some golf. Course was in great shape for the time of year. Enjoyable round.
Course needs some tender loving
I try to play this course at few times each year, however I will not returning this year. I play many different courses and this one needs lot of help.
Prices go up/course just seems to get worse
Decent greens and layout but the course seems to turn into more of a cow pasture every year while prices increase. Multiple twosomes ahead of us, one with walkers, led to slow play. We left after 13 holes and nearly 4 hours playing with no stopping after 9. No marshals monitoring slow play. Not worth $40-50. This is a course that’s worth $25 at most. Won’t give it another shot again.
Solid Course
Love this place! There are 27 holes and each 9 is solid. We played the Gold/Red this time and loved every bit of it. Nice clubhouse and love having a starter near the first tee to make sure the right group gets off on time. Other courses had issues with the rain that hit this area the last few days, but only saw one or two small spots that affected play a little.
Good order and flow!
My son and I played the course from Gold/Red and played the gold tee boxes which must have been added fairly recently since the tee box signs only show three distances. Red, White, and Blue. What we noticed was we were hitting cart paths with our shots more often than most courses due to some design problems, especially hole two on the Gold course. The cart path crosses the fairway! Otherwise I can imagine this course really being nice when newer. There were many walkers and I would actually recommend walking for a better pace of play. Another thing that was intriguing were the number of gulls on parts of the course! Playability wise it is a fairly tough test, especially from the back (Blue) tees. If you like shaping the ball, there are plenty of opportunities to fade or draw tee shots. I would recommend this course for people who break 90 or better on a regular basis. Also the carts are newer with canopy covers in case of rain.
Challenging greens!
I walked the course from a mixture of the white and gold tees and followed a twosome who played at a good pace. The course has a variety of dog legs which compliments a shot maker since some are fade tees and some draws. Overall it is a fairly challenging course due to the putting especially. Very few straight putts and semi-fast greens. Nice walking course, I would recommend the season pass for $29 if you plan on making this circuit a half dozen times or more. I am a senior, so the park pass may be more for younger players!
Hidden gem downriver
If your new to the area you have to play here 3 different 9s with each more challenging than the other the blue course has one of the hardest public holes in Michigan a must play great greens fast and true brand new carts and great staff very friendly and courteous
Great Course
Loved the course! Played on a Monday and it was rather congested but great track. Greens were structured excellent even though they were recently aerated. The OB right side of fairway on hole 2 was an aggravating surprise but it was a fun round.
Great practice facility with range and 3 practice holes!!
Will definitely come back!
