first time
we played all 27 holes … the first 18 are tree lined … the last 9 are more wide open but you need to know the course or you get yourself in trouble with blind shots or water.... due to the rain in area the last 9 had some burn out in some fairways …. over all not bad for the monet though
1st time playing this course
we played the gold which is just under 6000 on the gold / red course and very tight in some places which is tree lined and the white on the blue course at 3000 yds ..greens were good size but I thought were a tad slow... blue course was more open but lots of grass burn out due to the rain that we have gotten
Holy pot holes!
I thought Michigan roads were bad! Wait till you try to go down their cart paths. I think mound road looks great compared to those. Wow!
Dead grass
I lost 3-4 balls in the dead grass just off the fairway. Something should be done about the amount of dead grass left from the mowers .
Where to start?
So many disappointing thing to say, We played the "Gold to Red" tract. I will admit they had rain the day before but that does not excuse the course neglect. They had us play cart path only which was fine , kinda. The "gold" nine was horrific, they were fairly diligent on reminding golfers to stay on the cart paths, only problem was the cart paths were almost undrivable holes filled with water and so deep that they had posted a hand written sign at one of the creators that warned of its depth and severity. This could go on for a while so I will try to just give abbreviated details, Needed a visit to chiropractor after, rough was 8 to 10 inches in most areas, staff was to say the least unconcerned , mud, water, ruts and what rough was cut was left and ready to be bailed for hay and just plane terrible conditions they need to close for a week or so and at least make it safe to drive a golf cart. Not sure if it changed management or just attitudes. Worst round of golf conditions I have ever had to deal with.
Great Day
Played 18 in 4 hrs on a beutiful day. Enjoyed the round and the coarse is in good condition.
