Fun and unique course for the area!
I've golfed many courses in the area and this one is always talked about in our group. It's very hilly on most fairways. The greens are large and put your putting skills to the test. The course presents many unique shots that nicely challenge me. It's quite secluded, so you won't find backyards backing up to the course or loud busy roads nearby. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape.
Staff is very friendly and folks on the course were as well.
True hidden treasure.
Beautiful course with up North feel. Great elevation and course layout. First of many times to play this course. Highly recommended. A++.
Well worth the money
The back 9 is much tougher and longer, but the front has two tricky Par 3's which will make you second guess your club selection. The pace moved OK, but there are no rangers out on the course and they do not make 2-somes pair up, even on a busy weekend. I've played this course twice now and plan to go back.
This course is well rounded and would come back time and time again!
This course was great! Well maintained by their staff and would recommend the course to any golfers.
good conditions, hilly with beautiful holes
Good condition with friendly staff. My wife and I will play this course again.
WORTH THE DRIVE!
Course is north of Romeo and a little bit of a drive from the northeast suburbs of Detroit, but, well worth the drive. All the challenge that most golfers will want with lots of hills, ponds, bunkers, some holes with lots of trees and some tight fairways. Accuracy will be rewarded and errant shots penalized. Greens putted true and fast - both uphill and downhill putts required a lot of attention to detail. Make the ride and play this course-you won't be disappointed.
The course and staff are great, the pace of play was excellent, it is and always will be, one of my favorite courses.
Please don't tell anyone, I'd like it to stay a secret!!
The course is wide open, but sand traps are needed.
The greens were a little hard, could be from lack of watering or rain. They were similar to the practice greens which is a plus. I liked playing the course, but the course needs sand traps.
Nice Course
It was a nice, rather large yet not to long. Great value
best course in Macomb county and a great bargain as well
Beautiful course on rolling hills tucked into the northwestern corner of Macomb County. Perfectly maintained and not a sand trap on the course! But don't let the lack of bunkers make you think this is an easy track. Elevation changes, thick woods, ponds and deftly placed flags make this a good test of golf for players of all skill levels.
up north feel
the course is both beautiful and challenging. the staff was very friendly.
Fun with a great layout and mix of holes
No sand traps, but lots of hills, great elevations, and enough hazards to keep you thinking. Lots of mature trees to provide shade on a sunny hot summer day. You start with the #2 handicap but end with a hole providing the best birdie opportunity although an accurate drive and wedge shot are essential. Great views and no roads or houses in view. Do have to travel some hard packed dirt roads several miles before arriving at this oasis.
Excellent views, very pleasing to the eye.
This is a hidden jewel. From the blue tees, this is all the course an average golfer can handle. Check that, from the white tees it's all the course the average golfer can handle.
Ok layout, but the greens were slow
Nice hilly course layout. 15-17 is as tough as you'll find. The greens were unbearably slow.
Challenging course, sloping fairways and multilevel greens.
Good value for the money, course was in good shape, pace of play was good overall. Hilly with sloping fairways. Lots of breaking putts on the greens.
V. Good conditions and enjoyable pairing
I arrived as a single but joined another single and twosome. We became a very compatible group. You'll use your driver on this course and you need to putt well. There are probably three very difficult greens. Position below the hole is key on all holes. With a 10-12mph gusts and elevated greens or downhill holes, club selection is critical. The course is worth the trip.
no sand traps makes getting to the green more rewarding
Great course hidden away from novice golfers. Great par 5's and par three's.
Great Course
Had a ball and staff was very friendly and nice. Course was very forgiving. If errant shot was hit was not hard to find ball.
Surprisingly nice for early spring.
Elevation changes offer wonderful views. First time player can hardly wait to go back.
