cant beat the price
Inside the place looks a little sketchy but the course was actually in pretty good conditon. The greens were really good and the fairways and roughs were in great condition as well. Will definitely go back.
Not Worth the Money
This course was a disappointment from the moment I walked into the clubhouse. Facilities were dated at best. Course play was slow but that was probably due to it being Father's Day weekend. Tee boxes were in rough shape, and course layout was confusing with little/no signage on where to go. Beverages were expensive and not competitive with other courses in the area. Overall, not worth the money.
this course has very nice greens
We played the orange and red courses. I have played at least four courses already this year and by far Sunnybrook had the best greens. I really enjoyed my round of golf and plan on going back for sure. I especially liked the price I was able to get thru golf now. I plan on purchasing thru golf now in the future.
Sunday at Sunnybrook
This golf course is second rate however , it is close to home and the pace of play was wonderful (4 hrs.) for 18 holes. The red course is decent but the orange and green are short . The price was right, about 35$ for two golfers 18 holes, and a power cart.
Nice round of golf
Got a great deal on golfnow. Early in rhe year, so the course was real wet. But it was a fun round.
the course was a wide open course
The course is wide open yeah it was well kept a lot very green for this time of year. the only problem I had with the golf course was navigating from one hole to the next
flush your money down the toilet
donald ross would be rolling over in his grave if he saw the quallity of the staff and course that happens to bear his name as a designer. The old man at the counter is a waste of life and has been ruining my experiences there for over 20 years. The wait staff must have been cryogenically frozen in the 80s and unleashed on us in 2013 to haunt us with smokers cough and a hint of trailor park. I beg the world not to play here. it is everything thats wrong with society materialized into a horrible cow pasture.
Needs improvement.
The entrance to the place is confusing since it shares the place with GM. The clubhouse looks like a shed situated in front of the course. Gift shop is separate and needs lot of care. Fairways and greens are very good. Markings are very poor. No cart paths, no signs for the next hole, all the Ts have the same color(except to identify the 3 different 9 hole rounds), everything is green!! Do not have Blue, white, Red etc.
great value for quick round
the course is 3 - 9 hole courses, we played orange then red, both courses were short & easy without any hazards.
the course layout was a little confusing, but added to the fun.
we completed 18 in less than 3 hours & for approx $1 a hole there is nothing to complain about.
Find a field, dig a hole, put a flag in it
This place was horrible. There is no differentiation between the fairway and the rough, just a lower mower settting. You would be better off finding a field, digging a hole, putting a flag in it and playing. There is no reason that this course should be thishorrible. Not to mention the fivesomes that I was paired behind. I will never go here again and I would not recommend this course to anybody. Find somewhere else
Short but greens in good condition
Course is not very challenging, but greens are in excellent shape. Short and wide open. If you need a confidence boost for a low price, this is course.
needs better signs
the course is o.k but they need to put up more bigger and better signs . we were not the only ones who had a very hard time finding the next t box
lacking support staff
Overall the course was in great shape. The support staff was lacking. Maybe because of the 4th of July holiday.
Quick and painless
Sunnybrook had very few hazards and we very open course. There were a few instances where players on different fairways were in the path of our shots. The green course was shorter but seemed more difficult than red or orange. We had a good time.
Very forgiving course
Sunnybrook is perfect if you're looking to shoot well and have a good time. I played 18 but there are 27 available so it gives you an incentive to come back. Great value!
Not for true golfers
If you can play for less than $10 and you don't mind the occasional 5-some who plays out every shot en route to their 145 while not letting anyone through.....then you might enjoy this classic Donald Ross.
The positive? You will shoot about 6-8 strokes better than average and you may bump into some nice people like we did.
.
Needs some maintenance
First time. Enjoyable. Shot +8 for 18. Nice sun tan. Quick pace of play (Monday @ 1:00p). Cheap! (paid $15)
Below are a few thoughts and pros and cons of the course:
Pros:
- Kind staff. Starters helped me find my way, gave me some advice and were nice.
- 27 holes! A lot to choose from (Red, Green, Orange).
- WIDE OPEN layout. Majority of the course is wide open. Makes you take risks :)
- Shorter course, so better for beginners to shoot par
Cons:
- Confusing layout. Honestly, if I didn't ask where to go from the starters, I would have no clue
- CUT THE GRASS... Lost 3 golf balls, all which bounced from the fairway into the rough and the grass was so long I couldn't find them in the "rough"
- Set cart rules. Saw some guests driving up to the fringe to play. Maybe set it at 30+ yards??
- Restrooms. Please think about building a larger facility in the middle of your course. There are 27 holes, and they all come to a point (kind of) in the middle of your course. There were not any clean restrooms except for the clubhouse.
Hope this helps! Enjoy it for yourself!
