The 12th tee box. The hole is a sharp dog leg right. Slicers have a chance to turn the corner. Draws need to control length to not be in the corner bunker. Photo submitted by norm9602536 on 10/26/2015

Nice Layout
Rains had made greens real receptive.Top dressed recently so putting was tough. #5 was disappointing. Short-end with temp green that was poor to say the least. No posting score because of course alteration.Other than that it was a good bargain.
Great course
First time playing!! Definitely a great course to play. Staff are very friendly and the amenity is fancy.
the course has great lay out
The course it is very nice. The staff are professional.
Pace of play is killer
I originally planned to play 18 holes but it took 3 hours to play 9 holes. Calling the ranger didn't speed anything up I only played the back 9, but the layout isn't my favorite. The course itself is beautiful and the staff was really friendly and accommodating.
Good course but not worth the money
Video of course looked great but when I arrived I noticed right off the get go course was not in shape like video showed. Good course but it wasn't worth the money.
Good course but wait for completing their construction
I've played a few time last year here, and 1st time in this year.
Course was pretty good but a couple of holes are in construction, so have to use temporary tee and green.
Will come back again after they complete it.
2 Holes under construction
Played with Hot deal - great deal. Two of the holes were under construction, so have to use temporary tee and green.
Under construction
Played with Hot deal, but did not know two holes were under construction, so less value to pay full fair, I believe.
Really good round, what a place!
Do yourself a favor and walk to the 18th green and just look at the clubhouse. It's as big as a strip mall and looks great. Service was excellent, we played behind leagues but since they told us we had the mindset to hang out and play our game and pace of play didn't seem that bad.
I felt like the front nine could have used more length, I used iron off the tee 3 to 4 times due to distance or severe dogleg so back those babies up a bit so I don't have to hit 8 yard, 8 yard or 6 iron and 9 iron. Everything was rolling true and in good shape so in the end, go play this course and hang out for a bit afterwords on the back deck. Would be an amazing place for a wedding or event as well, heard the banquet space is biggest and baddest around.
cheap
Fancy place golf coarse not so fancy coarse under construction but for 25 bucks cant complain too much staff excellent
Beautiful place
This is a very nice golf course with an excellent clubhouse. Only suggestion would be to add senior tee boxes to get the yardage down to 5600-5800 yards,
Excellent staff, course
Shenandoah Country Club is a very attractive course, with many holes featuring significant elevation changes. The front nine is more open than the back, and several holes have water in play if you're not straight or the right distance. All the greens are sloped and fast - one must be accurate in trajectory and speed.
As with all courses, when it is busy, the pace of play slows down (especially on holes 14, 15 and 16). Don't sweat it, enjoy the view.

Excellent course for reasonable price.
For this time of the season, I think over all the course condition is excellent, friendly staffs, and pace of play was 3 and a half hours, also very reasonable price.
Nice track
Course is beautiful and fun to play. Well maintained with a nice layout. Staff is friendly and helpful with advice and tips for the course. A nice challenge with some difficult holes. Only complaint is that the restaurant closed their kitchen early. I wanted to eat after my round ended just after 7pm but it was closed. Also could use more beer selection including craft beer in bottle and on tap.
I will be playing here again
This was my second time at this course. Again, it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and attentive immediately when we arrived. They got us off the tees on time and we finished the round in about 3 and a half hours during peak time and beautiful weather on a Sunday. The facility and course are in great shape and the course is equally fun and challenging. I will definitely keep this course in mind for future rounds.
Great value
Very nice course and a great value for the money. Will play here again definitely. Could add some craft beers to the beer cart but otherwise this was a great experience. Course is challenging and in great shape.
Nice course. Friendly staff.
Course was a little wet in areas from rains but still played pretty well. All in all a scenic and challenging course. If you pay cash in the range ball machines make sure you pay exact amount. No change given.
Course Rangers Required
Pace of play was HORRENDOUS and never a ranger to be found. Threesomes playing so slow they were holding up a foursome of very average players.
At one point as I was about to tee off, a cart with an adult and three small children drove over the end of the tee box on a joy ride around the course.
Good course if you get a hot deal.
We played after several days of rain so, to be fair, we had to expect some wet conditions but I had forgotten that the drainage is terrible at Shenendoah. Even when I played there as a teenager 25 years ago. So that hasn't changed.
It's always disappointing to arrive at a course and be told "car't path only". I'd rather not play than be unable to take the cart at least 90 degrees in the fairway and walking wasn't an option. No wonder the round was over 4.5 hours on a mid Tuesday afternoon. Courses should be forced to disclose cart path only and 90 degree regulations prior to booking as it can easily ruin a round.
Overall, the course was conditioned well in spite of the slog. Greens were slightly tricky and ran very smoothly. Asthetically the rolling hills and changing evasions are pleasing to the eye.
Over half a dozen gimmicky holes and the elevation changes on the front nine severely distort the distance of tee shots. Many fairway bunkers aren't within 50 yards of being reached even with booming tee shots. Hitting up severe slopes and then down the same severe slopes on holes 3-7 can feel uninspiring and contrived at times. Although the front is more wide open than the back, "well" placed towering trees punish misguided tee balls.
The back nine is flatter with more tree lines holes and tighter risk reward situations. I prefer it to the front (although wetter).
The par 5's are the teeth of this course and can swallow errant shots easily. Make sure you're hitting your woods and long irons well when you show up here!
