Love the owners!
Course is nothing special to write home about. But it has made significant improvements over the last couple of years compared to conditions prior. The new owners are awesome people, very nice. Course conditions have improved. New carts are a nice touch. Fun, simple golf for the money!
Could've been worse
Showed up at 1pm for a 115pm tee time.
Was informed there was an outing, and there may be a short delay.
To compensate, a large bucket of balls was given.
1/3 of these balls had been decimated by the mower.
145pm comes, and we finally go to the clubhouse to inquire.
We were coaxed into teeing off on hole 13. The longest and hardest hole on the course. To get to the hole we had to cut across 3 fairways to get to the tee.
Course was dry. Cow patch esque.
Mid june with aeration holes still in play on most greens.
When we went to hole 10 to complete the last 3 holes, leagues had already swarmed the tee and we were unable to finish our round; a partial refund was given.
The carts did have cooler holders on the side. So that was a plus.
I guess for 27$, for 18 and a cart, after tax, one can't complain too much.
Short and tight
The course is in great condition, with the exception with one or two tee boxes. Course is pretty interesting just 5900 yards and some holes are pretty tight together.
So cheap $12.99 couldn’t refuse playing it
So wet today Friday 7/23/21 probably shouldn’t have been open. New club car carts, good greens, little or no sand, an older track. Most likely one and done.
Scored well on front 2 over , wife agreed not much character.
$12.99 TeeOff rate giveaway, could go wrong
Great value, good conditions.
Surprisingly good conditions for a low cost muni. Greens were a bit slow but rolled true and we made a lot of putts. Its a good layout with some water hazards but no sand traps. Its on my list for a return visit.
This was the first golf course I ever golfed at (starting in November last year) and my favorite course to go back to!
Much improved
This course is greatly improved from the last time we played several years ago. Right away we noticed the friendly staff and owners as well as the new golf carts, improved fairways and upkept greens. I'm glad we decided to give it another try and would definitely recommend
Good value
Good value for a last minute round. Will go back. There are water hazards and sand traps trust me I know...lol. course is tight but very short
Short but fun
Wet in the low spots despite no recent rain, course may be in a floodplain, but wasn’t a big issue. Unsure why but they had the back tee boxes closed so the longest tee (white) was just behind the reds, made the course very short but still fun. Played a hotdeal 10am Thursday and was practically alone on the course. Beer and liquor sales but no grill, only food is chips and candy bars. Good value.
Confusing and a bit dangerous
Tee boxes and other fairways and greens VERY close together. Had balls whizz over our heads from other players that weren’t that far off their mark. Just a weird layout. No water hazards or sand traps. Club house And parking lot a bit run down.
Pleasant Staff
Went on a hot deal to Bent Pine. The manager was very pleasant and allowed us to start on hole #4 because of league play. She was very accommodating for us and we had no problems with pace of play. The course is in fair condition with some greens needing some additional care. I’d go go back for sure!
New ownership
Spoke with the new owner, as of February 2019 I believe. Very hospitable, and eager to please. I would have been comfortable paying $50 to play this course instead of the $25 I paid. The tee boxes were a little uneven and worn due to rain. The fairways were in excellent condition, surrounded by a decent first cut and a challenging second. Tree rows lined some of the fairways, placing accuracy at a premium. Plenty of challenging hazards whether it be water or tall thick brush. Not enough to make playing this course unpleasant though. The greens were in great shape and my ball rolled true. I shot my best round in years. Definitely will play again. There were quite a few events held so far at this course, still a few more left for this season. I took my wife, who is still learning, they welcome beginners. Never felt rushed at all. She usually picks her ball up after 9 holes but played all 18. That says it all. Thanks Bent Pines, see you soon.
Decent course for the money
Nothing special but it is a fun and fairly well cared for course. The course represents some trouble as well as easy holes. The greens are usually pretty good with decent pace. The course is certainly short and easy if you are on your game but if not, it may be a long day. This course is good for the price.
