Eagle Crest Golf Club
About
Located in Ypsilanti just off I-94 between Detroit Metro Airport and Ann Arbor is Eagle Crest Golf Club, operated by Eastern Michigan University and home to the college golf teams. Eagle Crest opened in 1987 and is a daily-fee course with a Marriott hotel located onsite. The elevated driving range and practice area overlooks Ford Lake and the course layout features several holes that play along its shores. The highlight is the signature par-5 16th hole that features a shallow, peninsula green on the lake. In 2012, EMU embarked on a 20-year master plan to the golf course that will elevate the stature of the course among NCAA host courses. Enhancements include tree management and more views of the lake, rebuilt greens and rerouted cart paths.

Play as early as possible
Ideally, the first hour of the days tee times.
Fun and challenging. Lots of water and interesting shots to play. Maybe don't hit driver and listen to the GPS they have installed on the carts.
Course is tough. Blind tee shots and big, bendy greens. Course gets slow from how difficult the layout is. If you play early, you have a better chance of getting around in a good amount of time.
Don't play twilight. That was my previous experience with the course and I didn't play it again for a year.
Great place to play golf in Michigan
Eagle Crest is a beautiful golf course with a nice balance of difficulty that both skilled and less skilled golfers should enjoy. The course is impeccably maintained, tee to green. Some of its elevated tees with their magnificent views of Ford Lake are simply stunning. There is no better way to spend a hot July day, than 18 holes at Eagle Crest, with the breezes blowing in from the lake.
Beautiful course with all types of holes
Outstanding views of Ford Lake from several holes. Views from the elevated tee box on #5 are fantastic. Nice waterfall around #10 green. Has every type of hole requiring a variety of shots. 90 degree doglegs, peninsula greens, greens surrounded by bunkers, uphill par 4's, holes into the woods, elevated tee boxes.
Greens are challenging but in great shape and roll well. Know your yardages before coming here and be accurate, but the course doesn't punish good shots.
Ranger was sending people out every 10 minutes, never waited for a shot the entire round, foursome done in under 4 hours. Cart GPS with digital ordering on 8th tee. Be careful playing after rain, a few cart path only holes and shots on soft watery grass on the back 9.
Do Not Play This Course
I played this course and realized I left my portable speaker in the cart. The next morning I called and told the staff which cart I played in and where it was located. The staff did not care about my speaker and said they could not find it. This means ones of the staff stole my expensive speaker. This course cannot be trusted. About the course, they have a serious geese problem on just about every hole. I can’t recommend this course, do not play here.
Great view and excellent cource
Before I playing, I had a lunch in the restaurant.
Good food and good service was provided.
Cource is nice and has excellent lake view. Fresh air and nice sky were great!
Sorry, we teed off on the back. Waterfall is on #1 and the scenic elevated tee was #14.
