Good round for the money
Okay course some holes laid out kinda funny. Pretty good shape for mid October. Best part was Tim in the pro shop. Super helpful and friendly. I'll come back because he made us feel so welcome. And I drove over an hour to get there
Great Place to Sneak In a Quick Round
Enjoyable. Serene. Underrated. Few bunkers. Many lateral penalty areas. Decent conditions, not A1. Value priced. Great staff. Nice bar/restaurant. Repeat patron.
Great Course off the beaten Path
I have golfed here at lease 6 times this year and it's always a Great Experience!
very soft course
course was in good shape, very soft condition, not much roll , played long on a few of the par 4's . Greens putted true.
Southbrook
Tees and fairways were in great condition however a few greens experienced winter kill. I have played this course once or twice a year for several years and find it to be a great value. Multiple tee boxes allow for all skill levels. We played the white tees at a little more than 6100 yards. Playing in a foursome we made it around in just under 4 hours
Prairie Home Companion
A prairie course reclaimed from marshlands and low elevations. Well maintained with very large greens which test your putting skills and green reading. Golf carts are older, but run well enough. Very quiet and peaceful with lots of greenery. Limited pro shop. Bring your own lunch and snacks.
Fun course
Usually not a lot of people on the course, so pace of play is usually fast. Good course for practice and some holes are challenging. If your in the area I would recommend playing this course.

Enjoyable Course
Always seem to enjoy playing out at Southbrook GC.
Plenty of holes you can post a good score on but if you're too wayward with your tee shot, you might be adding a few penalty strokes.
Not sure what I think of par 3 third hole where you most likely will have a "blind" shot off the tee...The tall cattails are an interesting defense. It is unique! Back nine is especially fun to play.
Greens could use some TLC but they are fine and fitting for the Southbrook GC experience.
Staff has always been great. Very welcoming. Good after round food and drink, as well.

Beautiful Course
First time playing Southbrook. Weather was perfrct, the course was in great shape. I will play here again.
