Greens in rough shape
Greens were in rough shape with dry, dead spots in many places. The staff member mowing the roughs had no regard for any player on the tee box or green. Was stuck behind two groups from hole 2 through 9 that wouldn't let me play through (not necessarily the courses fault, but it doesn't help the pace of play rating). The food was about average.
A Surprising Gem of a course!
The course was extremely well maintained from the tee box to the green. I have paid a lot more for courses that were not as well maintained. There was plenty of water in ponds and creeks throughout the entire course. The creeks were flowing which meant they have a constant supply of spring fed or river fed fresh water which makes for beautiful water features not the normal scum/ weed collectors of some courses in August. While there were lots of water features some were positioned in such a way as to be visually pleasing and not overly challenging for players of all skill levels.
Dual Ace"s
Yes the staff was very good. They made it very apprent they wanted us happy. The front was backed up and they sent us off the back. Then on hole 16 142 yard par 3 I hit my first hole in one. Some people from the next fairway came over and congraulated me.Then my wife got up and said your not going to be happy when i hit mine in. Her's was 106 yards she hit and it hit the green and droped out of sight. Yes we started jumping and yelling. The 2 lady's that came over before came running back to see. One of the lady's said congrats and just keep running to the green she got to the hole and yelled yes there is 2 balls in the cup. COOLEST DAY EVER. The cource was maintained nice and very fun to play. Thanks T&J.
Dependable course
Good course. Not too difficult but not too easy. Plenty of wooded areas, water hazards and open spaces too. Greens are always well kept.
Brrrr
This was my first time playing this course this year. The leaves made it hard to find your ball if you went off the fairway but course was well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The weather this day was cold and windy but all and all we had a decent round.
Ledge Meadows
Nice course for the cost
Hole lay outs are pretty interesting
Decent
Fairways and rough weren't much different in length so it didn't really matter. Layout was nice and greens were much better than in past visits. It's a good course for the price and had a good time.
had a great time on this course with my son
if you want enjoy a good course quiet nice friendly plus you will use all your clubs in your bag this is a course to go to course was in great shape the staff was also great very friendly.
The greens are in great shape.
The overall course was in very good condition. The greens were especially nice. All puts rolled true to form. Fairways are also well maintained.
Hey Buddy While We're Young!
5.75 hours yes 5.75 hours to go around a 6400 yard track with very little sand, water, and average greens. If only they had a ranger patrolling the course to speed play. Hit a shot...wait...hit a shot wait...get to the next tee and the group ahead has their own chairs. Oh dear lord! (Self censored) Two groups ahead as we bunched up on #11( an inert par 3 ) like cattle in the stock yard; is that a tape measure seriously they pulled out a tape measure to see who was away. Reading the putt...rereading the putt...oh why not the 3rd time has to be the charm. Multiple those hijinks by 3 on each green and you'll know exactly why it took almost 6 hours to get around this average track. Golf Now paired me with a father / son twosome and the conversation between shots was great. The son is retired Air Force 28 years of service! (Thank You for dedicating your life to the defense of our great nation ). The people were very pleasant in the clubhouse and the mowers on the course would actually stop what they were working on and put their machine in quite mode while attempting a shot. (Personally; it didnt help).
The course itself was nice and if I wasnt so flustered from the pace of play I probably could have taken in the course better.
I might come back out at a different time of the day...my playing partners said that the group and 2 others in front of them are usually there and start out at 9am M-F. Get on before those guys and you'll probably have a nice round.
Note to mmgt...please do something to move those 12 regulars along and maintain pace of play. Almost 6 hours on your course is ridiculous.
Terrible experience
If you land in the fairway, it looks like you're in the rough. Top 3 worst coarses I've ever played and they have the nerve to charge $29 for 18 and a cart.
Nice first round of the year
A windy day and the greens are a little brown still, but the course is very nice.
Had fun
Nice long challenging course. Would play again.tee times well spaced.
Needs a haircut
While this was a nice course the fairways could really do with a bit of a trim. It was like hitting out of semi rough on some of the holes as the had grown out that long.
Also every green has two holes on it. One regulation size and one over size. I like this idea as it can bring more novices to the game but depending on your approach shot the bigger hole can sometimes be between you and the regulation pin. (Not on many holes but I had this problem on the first hole.)
Be prepared for wind too. It is a rather open course and the wind blows quite hard out there being so open.
Great weekday value
Tee time 8:00am. 18/Cart in 3 hours on a Monday morning. Excellent
Good people, nice public course
The course is good, not too challenging, but not easy.Typical of a public course with a fair amount of play. Ball marks on the greens, un-repaired divots. Great place for varying skill levels and the people are super friendly and accommodating. Greens were very quick and the fairways properly mowed. I will play here again when I am in town.
yes great time
I would recommend the course and your service. I appreciate you making my previous reservation with Forest Akers right when it rain back on 7-31. I never thought or blamed you guys. I think it was more the course Forest Akers in fact a couple of years ago we had the cart die on 13 and they (forest Akers) gave us a pro rate rain check for 5 holes the wouldn't even give us nine holes. so THANK YOU
Great for All Calibers
Ledge Meadows offers shots of all kinds on holes of all caliber. it is a top course for the price bracket. I would play here all the time for a great course without the crowds on a resort caliber course.
