Great round
Great day- beautiful weather, no hold up on any hole
Hidden Greens - worth the drive out to play.
Great place to golf. Pro shop manager incredibly nice. Don't see that too often! Course is short but great to work on hybrids off tee and to place your drives. Also some go for the green from tee holes. WORTH the drive out to give it a go.
Good value
Had an early tee time at 7:00am. The pace was good until the second 9 when we got behind a foursome, but we still finished under 4 hours.
The course is in good shape with all the rain we had this year. The fairways are tight, but well laid out and it helps with practicing placement shots.
Short course w/tight fairways
HG is one of those courses you will either like or dislike. Personally, i think the course should undertake a major tree triming project. Fairways are narrow & made more so by large overhanging branches. It is short in yardage and I play this course better leaving the driver in the car. If you spray the ball, this is a very unforgiving course. If you hit it relatively straight but are not a big hitter, this course is for you. Inexpensive to play (w/coupon or GolfNow) and course is always in good condition. The greens run true at moderate speed. Course is very walkable. Bugs can be a problem here, so bring bug spray.
the course makes one think.
Holes that bring out creative thinking and disciplined mindset.
Challenging course
This course is very challenging because there's a lot of trees everywhere and the tee off area is pretty tight on some holes. This is the course where you will want to bring lots of extra balls. Due to all the rains that we have in the last months...you will want to bring some bugs spray because you will need it. Overall, love the course and definitely will go back again.
Fun course, worth the drive.
Really enjoyed the course. It poured rain for 5 holes on the back 9 but we managed to finish. There were a ton of gnats and mosquitoes out and were CONSTANTLY circling over everyone's head (buzzing in your ear etc.). Understandable with all the wet weather, but It made it very difficult to hit a shot. Make sure to bring bug spray with you!
Hidden Greens
Course was in excellent shape. Course is relatively tight and requires accuracy.
For a course with all those trees very few leaves on the course
The course was in mid season shape, green fairways, greens were fast and true. (for not being cut in a week or so) The only bad thing was the other golfers not fixing the divots. But even with that still in great shape. Hope to it golf next week weather permitting.
Great Course
Awesome layout and very friendly staff. Not to busy during the week and I finished 18 in less then 3 1/2 hrs. It would have been quicker if I didn't loss some balls in the fall leaves:)
Definantly will play again.
Great course-great deal
Narrow fairways with trees on both sides, but our foursome played a scramble and were always hitting from the best ball location and we moved right along even with a fair number of lost balls in the woods and waters.
Hidden Gem
this is nice golf course for any skill level. The people that run this golf course are very friendly and courteous.
Would play here again
Challenging short course. Many blind approaches. Targets must be hit or corrections are required.
Had not played there in about 12 years or so.
The shape of the course was much better than the last time I played it. I was pleasantly surprised and will go back again next year.
hot deal paradise
I played Hidden Greens twice this summer & on the 16th & again today, the 31st. Most remarkable is how the grounds crew is in command of fallen leaves. On the 16th I brought a friend who'd never played here, describing the course as tree-lined. He thought he was playing in a forest! (country club quality mature oaks all around). I have to say that the greens are getting shaggy & not their normal quickness (I suspect that has to do with the late frosts & cool days lately.) Hidden Greens is a wonderful test: you either need to drive it straight or be able to hit low curving recover shots. The greens are smallish & until today have had very nice speed. Posting a good score is really a challenge. It's very easy to drop shots & get frustrated. Accept the challenge!
