Little Traverse Bay Golf Club is one of the courses that put the Harbor Springs area of northern Michigan on the map as one of the state's most popular golfing destinations. The scenic location offers panoramic views with the ability on clear days to see all the way to Little Traverse Bay on several holes. The rolling terrain provides elevated tees and green complexes that will test your skills picking the proper club. You'll find that the uphill approaches often need one or two extra clubs. Different types of bunkers are strategically placed throughout with some that will give you fairly easy recoveries while others are high-lipped and consequently more punishing. There are some stunning holes thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, especially on the back nine where the landscape is even more undulating.

Extreamely beautiful
the course is beautiful. very well maintained. the greens are be very challenging and hard to read. a 6 foot putt can turn into a 3 putt very fast. Fantastic ups and downs.
My husband and play this course every time we are up here. The view if the bay from several holes is breath taking. We love this course but you better bring extra balls.
Fun and scenic
Fun, playable course for men and women. The senior tees are really senior length. A lot of courses put the senior tees on the same tee box as the forward tees. Putting is very tricky. Starter said everything breaks towards the lake but, of course, we didn't know where the lake was from every hole! We were a twosome so it was a little slow behind the foursomes but not bad. Pitching from the rough is a challenge. Hit it! Golf Now rate was good and a good time for us. Pro shop well stocked. Greens are nicely accessible. The view from the first tee and restaurant overlooking the lake is very nice. Convenient to Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Play it. You won't be disappointed.
A Northern Michigan Gem
If yu are at Boyne, jump over and plat Little traverse. The views are gorgeous. Be ready for some 3 putts!
Fantastic Layout with Great Views
Little Traverse has always been one of my family's favorite courses to play in the area. There are great views throughout the course and there are some really great golf holes. This year, as opposed to other years, my group all agreed that the greens had been sped up to a pace that was extremely difficult/borderline unfair. It was really hard to keep putts within the leather. In my opinion, 9 and 18 aren't the best closing holes by going straight up hills, but they certainly give you a fantastic view from the greens.

Some of the hardest greens to read but not putt putt hard.A must play when visiting the Petoskey/ Harbor Springs area!!
Love this course, hated the weather!
This course has the views of Little Traverse Bay and all the challenge you can handle, throw in the weather that didn't cooperate from 65 degrees down to 45 and rainy back up to 70(nice) but windy and the day was a challenge. Course was in great shape though, my game just couldn't handle all the other stuff.
Beautiful Views
I have not played a course with so many extreme elevations changes. With the wind, it was difficult to select the correct shot and club.
Must play if in area.
Great panoramic views. Played last year around Labor Day.This time greens much more putter friendly. Could have been occasional light drizzle. In my opinion any golfer in Petosky area should play this course.
Worth the drive and price.
Got a good deal through Golf Now and had to drive an hour and a half to get to the course. Played the course a couple times in the past and this time was just as good as the others. Course was in great shape, staff was friendly and accommodating ( we arrived early and were allowed to tee off before our scheduled time ) and all was good. Even the weather cooperated. Will definitely be back here again.

The views were great. The course was in great shape and a little challenging but not so much an average golfer couldn't play it. The staff was very friendly and informative. If the weather was a little warmer it would have been almost perfect

Perfect
Absolutely gorgeous golf course, with the best views in northern Michigan. Perfect conditions on a beautifully perfect day. Despite the difficulty of the greens ("always rolls towards the bay" - unfortunately you can't always see the bay!:), I can't imagine a more beautiful setting in which to spend 4 hours of my weekend time! Enjoy!!!!!
