Mature course
Holes were tree lined and well defined. Greens were a tad slow, but enjoyed playing here. Wife and kid were at the Renaissance Festival, so I went and played here while they were there. Would come back again, if ever in the area.
Not worth what the charge
There green fees should be around 20.00 for what you get
Slow play
Had planned to play 18 but the course was playing so slow that we quit at the turn. We did get a credit for half of what we paid.
nice course
Course in great shape, greens in good shape , fast and run true. The staff at the snack bar friendly , good location you pass it several times during the round. Will be for sure returning to play again.
Good Old Fashioned City Course
What an enjoyable afternoon. Weather was great, course was in good condition, game was average.
White tee's are fairly short, 6,000 yds. Greens were probably faster than average, huge trees line the fairways but plenty of room. Didn't lose a ball, very little water on the course; bunkers are old but didn't come into play much. It is part of the city park and it is a nice walk in the park! Challenge is small and some turtleback greens.
Good Value
Course in good shape. Old style, tree-lined cours. Greens faster than they appear. Some holes have water damage in the rough but really do not interfere with play.
bugs
Course looked nice however the nats were unreal!! You could not concentrate on your shots they were that bad. Bug spray did nothing for them.
This couse is in good cond.
Tees and greens and fairways all looked great. Neatly cut and no debree on coursel.
good conditions, poor pace
Very slow pace on this Sunday, at one point there were 3 groups waiting on a par three tee box. Every time we got to a par three, we were backed up. They should shorten all of the par 3 tee boxes for the seniors that can't get to the greens.
new prague golf course
The greens were hard as a rock!!! Some fairways grass were really long, they were like 2 inches long, but otherwise you cant beat 20dollars for 18 w/ cart. Will definetly play again!!
Excellent Value-Great Staff
The trip to New Prague is well worth the effort. The course consists of two very different nine-hole layouts reflecting the age difference of the nines. The courses of moderate difficulty, playable by all skill sets and most importantly has an excellent staff with strong customer service skills. I'm not a member of the course and I was treated as if I was, which is unusual for public play courses. Enjoyed the experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a good experience.
first time at this course, i want to go back soon
beautiful course, fast play and great greens. very good condition
Definitely going back to play again!
I got a great deal off Golfnow.com. I'm new to the area so I've been golfing alone in the past few weeks. I got paired with another guy who booked through Golfnow.com and I think I have found a new golfing partner.
The course was in very good shape. It was rather busy out there on a Tuesday and the pace of play was slower than I hoped for but will definitely go back to play. Especially for the hot deal I received on Golfnow.com!
Friendly!
By far the friendliest staff I've seen all season, from the pro shop to the bar/restaurant (29 rounds at 10 different courses). Course was in good shape, and pace of play was quicker than expected for the number of groups playing, A challenging track but not impossible for hackers, like me. Nice driving range too.
Old course. Not long but let you practice your placements
A relatively short course, as this is an old course. The greens are smaller in general. Trees are your biggest nemesis here. If you try to draw, then often trees come into play to force you to fade. So, you have to have a few tactical tools to truly appreciate what this course can offer you. A very good practice course. I like people here and they are quite accommodating. New Prague and Montgomery are two good old-style good courses close-by. it is worth traveling down to New Prague and then move to Montgomery on one day.
Filled with surprises
If you love a good putting challenge, then this is it. A friend and myself haven't played for two weeks because of hot weather and holiday, but we were eager to get back to our once a week round. This week we chose New Prague Golf Club. When we got onto the first green our excitement sank. Another golf course that did not disclose that they had just airated the greens. As a consumer I and my friend would both like to have the right to choose whether or not to play a course that is airating their greens. They deceived us, by not informing us of this before we purchased as we expected to be playing a course that was in normal conditions. We may have still played there but we would have been aware of the conditions. This leaves a bad taste in our minds about the course.
Very well maintained with work being done to keep it up.
Beautiful course with excellent fairways and greens. Some good challenges, but also forgiving fairways for the most part. The old large trees are a real plus.
No ranger
There wasn't a ranger on the course, level of staffing was inadequate.
Greens are usually faster here but still good. In good condition.
Greens are receptive and not rolling as fast as usual. Rough is pretty long.
Very nice staff and fun playable course.
Very nice staff and fun playable course, conditions were good not great.
