The greenest course I've seen in months
The course has been kept up during this extended hot and dry stretch. There were very few beat up areas and the greens were great.
Everything they had control over was very good to great.
But it is a a little bit on the expensive side.
$47 to ride, $40 to walk.
I hadn't played there in almost 10 years and it seems to have improved. I'll return gladly.
Pretty good course right next to the zoo
Greens played tricky at this course but overall fun and some long par 3's.
Great Golf Course
The pace was great. The staff was very helpful. I would play there again.
Bad Rating
Bad experience. I booked 2 golfers through Golf Now, then tried to adjust my reservation to 4 golfers. Called Rackham all morning to adjust, but nobody ever answered. When I arrived they rudely bumped my tee time an hour back, did not give me the Golf Now credit / discount, their clubhouse was closed and they did not sell beer. No beer available for purchase to drink in the clubhouse, or on the course... no cart girls. All around bad experience - many better courses around!
Fun Place to Play in Tight Quarters
This course is central to the metro Detroit area and it offers a chance for people from many parts of the region to get together for golf. It is not too long but you still have to make shots to score. It was obvious today that many were coming out of quarantine because golf shots were being sprayed all over the place. The fairways were relatively close so one needed to be on the lookout for errant shots. We had an enjoyable round with some inexperienced golfers but the slow pace of play allowed us to keep up with the group in front of us.
Love Rackham!
What a great historic course Rackham is. Bring your putters A game as greens are large and challenging.
Beautiful course is great location. Saw 3 beautiful deer out there and fairways were good. Donald Ross design is challenging and so much fun. Course in great shape!
Disappointing
Horrible course management here. Tee'd at 950 for our set 920 time. 2 groups deep on every box. When talking with the group ahead, we were told they had the 916 tee time, meaning they booked 4 minutes apart. Took 3.25 hours to play 9 holes. When we informed the ranger he shrugged his shoulders and stated 'you're lucky to be out here, this is why I don't play here.' Course layout was fine and had a nice look, but today will keep me away from Rackham for a while.
Detroit Gem
Grateful to have this terrific course nearby.
Well maintained and friendly staff.
Very nice muni
Old Donald Ross course. Greens in good shape. No water on course. Lot of doglegs. Bit pricey but fun and fair.
Great feeling course
Love the detail of the course, and character of the greens. Historic feel to the club from parking to in on the 18th green.
Great Greens. Great Pace
Quite a nice round. Pace of play was excellent and course is in nice shape. Greens are awesome!!!!
Changed pricing upon arrival
Our reservation was made through golfnow and it was supposed to be $25 per player for 18 holes walking. Once we checked in we were told new price, that allegedly changed due to holiday weekend, was $40. It’s not about extra $15 but about false advertising, there are much better courses to play than this one for $40 in Metro Detroit area. Pace of play was super slow. Will not be back to play Rackham.

Trash
They don’t care about the golfers. Pack as many in as you can, charge as much as you can, enforce all the rules possible. Course is average, but hour plus round, sit at the first hole waiting for an hour alone. Wear a mask, no booze, nobody washes the carts, but congregate at 1 with 2 dozen people for an hour
Terrible
Instead of apologizing after their disrespectful and arrogant employee ruined mine and my friends day the manager called us liars for mentioning the utter disrespect. On top of that the course was in terrible shape and moved at turtle speed. Stay Away
Flat
I only play here once or twice a year and found it to be a bit long for me @ 68 but senior tees play short. Played here because it is relativity flat and walking is the new norm. Not my first choice but is its golf during a crisis.
20 years ago this course was a gem in the city. Now it has a few issues with drainage.
Still worth the reduced rate. $15 to walk is great.
