Too many tee times
I played by myself and was held up so I joined a 2 some and was still held up the entire round
Sycamore Hills
Great pace of play, course in pretty good conditions. Greens did vary largely in speed from hole to hole.
Overbooked and out of control
We have been golfing at Sycamore for years and it has unfortunately gone downhill. The course is wonderful but so overbooked and below average golfers on a Sunday morning. Almost a 3 hour round for 9 holes. Thankful our money was refunded because we would have never used a voucher to come back. The ranger advised us to not bother golfing on Sundays there because it has been like that all summer. Very unfortunate.
Bad greens
Nice course and good layout but course was poor draining and the greens were in terrible shape. Burned out, in need of a good rolling too. I was embarrassed to bring my out of town guests here.
Over booked
Second time we’ve gone and it was extremely overbooked. We where the first group off and go to make the turn and there is 4 foursomes in front of us!
Good course and is in good condition
A little pricey, but it’s better than most of the local courses so it’s reasonable. It’s in good condition and challenges you with some turns off the tee.
One of my favorites
Greens are always in great shape except for just a few that have some fungus damage. The rest of the course is in fantastic shape. It’ tends to be busy so pace can sometimes be slow but rangers are always out doing what they can to keep people moving. Overall one of my favorite Macomb County courses.
Excellent round
A great course with friendly people and excellent golfing. We will be back.
Great experience.
This course is fun and a great value for the money!!
Great Golf Course
Booked it last minute and it’s 10 times better than a lot of the courses in Macomb county. I’ll be coming back.
Flooding was a problem
Apparently all the rail took its tool on this course. Very wet and lots of extra water around. It is on flood plane so that's part of it. Looks like a nice course just needs to dry out. Will try again later in the summer
Best local course
I love this course. I stopped playing for about 10 years and just started again a few months ago. 10 years ago, this was a very well maintained, decently challenging course. Nothing changed. I play there several times a week, and most of the staff knows me and are very friendly and accommodating. They have weekday specials Monday-Friday, and a season pass you can purchase which discounts your round every day. 3 separate 9 hole courses and 4 tee boxes per hole offers a challenge to players of all levels. There are ALOT of trees, so hit your drives straight or play your slice accordingly. Bring extra balls if you are playing in the fall, because you will easily lose a ball per hole in the fallen leaves. They have the groundskeepers out all the time trying to keep up with the leaves, but it is a battle to keep the course clear. The only negative thing I have to say isnt about the course, but occasionally you will get an oblivious group in front of you that dont understand the whole "let faster players play through" thing. I generally play alone, and it is extremely irritating when an incredibly slow 4some is in front of me and continues to slow me down. Not a negative reflection on the course, just an observation.
Amazing course for a great deal
This course was very well maintained you could tell the greens had recently been worked on but they were rolling very true even with the small scars. Honestly I couldn’t say anything bad about the course I just Wish I played it better.
Excellent Quality
Staff does a great job at keep the course in good condition. Fun course to play. Popular course in the area so you can expect a little bit of wait time between holes. One of the best courses in macomb.
Value Track
$25 Rate for a nice course. Greens were decent but not great. Overall good value
