Water logged all over, greens were full of tree droppings, and waited at every Tee. Avoid this course and go anywhere else.
No maintenance. Premium Price?
Thunder storms the two previous days so I hopped on late morning Sunday. Third time playing and decided to give it another go despite recent reviews. First tee box I was standing in a hole and had to move off the line two feet and push to the boundary to set my feet. It didn’t get better after that. EVERY SINGLE GREEN WAS A WRECK! The only ones not covered in debris, helicopter pods and sticks were dried up and brown. I’ve played better greens at $10 par 3 courses. Fairways 7/10.
Tee boxes 4/10
Greens 1/10
Staff was physically there 5/10
I was understanding after and asked for a follow up from anyone on staff about the course conditions. No one cared. No one called. 4 groups I interacted with said it was not enjoyable and frustrating.
Threw out my scorecard without totaling.
Enjoyable time
It had been awhile since I golfed at Sycamore Hills but quickly remembered why I enjoyed it. Course layout is nice. Staff is very friendly. Pace off play was excellent.
Pace of play
The course is in pretty good condition. We teed off on the North course and when we drove to hit our second shot there were 6 players on the green. Pace of play was extremely slow the first 3 holes until the ranger asked them to separate into two groups. Pace of play improved when we started the South course. The greens and sand traps are in good condition. Overall, I would recommend the course. The staff is extremely friendly.
Greens not true
Gorgeous golf course! Tuff Golf, but very slow leagues etc etc..junior golfers in tournaments walking..Cart girl was awesome just to busy but a beautiful course and the greens all look diseased brown patches on ever green..Not cool.
Poor setup
I wanted to get a quick 9 holes in with the wife and we got stuck behind a league and a threesome that took forever to tee off. It took almost 3.5 hours to finished 9 holes which is ridiculous. If I would have known I would have been stuck behind a league, I would have went somewhere else. Shouldn't take 3.5 hrs for 9 holes for two people. PLUS could not buy anything from beer cart girl since they only take cash. Other places the beer cart girl can take credit. Felt bad for her. Never coming back again.
Not bad but a little disappointed
The course I was not in bad shape for this time of year. I think for the money the pine needles should have been cleared off all the greens. They should not let singles and in groups of two go out. They should put them together as a foursome leads to much time sitting around waiting to hit your shot
Beautiful course and fair difficulty
As a new golfer I was worried this club would be out of my skill level but I had a blast playing. There are enough hazards to keep you on your toes and plenty of open fairways to hit onto. After nearly a full season of play the course looks like it was just opened. I will definitely golf here again, just not during the fall when the leaves eat your ball.
Great condition
Course is very kept. Love the electric carts and blacktop paths throughout. Beautiful morning, nice round!
