Golf Course with a Mission
We were enthusiastically welcomed by the staff. The new management has a mission to show support for veterans and first responders.
Still some work to do on course signs. Course is in good shape. A couple of greens need some improvement, but overall greens were good.
Not crowded, so give it a try.
This course has lost its luster
I last played Deer Creek in 1999, and boy has it declined. The greens were long, slow and need attention. The fairways were 1/2 dead and hard as a rock. The ponds were covered in sludge and looked disgusting. The signage marking holes was missing and/or in very poor shape. I've heard that new ownership is trying to get this place back up to par, but they have a lot of work to do. I wish them all the best, and I'd love to return in a few years to see this place restored to its former glory.
Ok Course
This is a decent course. There are some really nice holes and there wasn't one bad hole on the course. The tee boxes, rough and areas around the greens could be in better condition.
For the price good course
had fun playing wth my son the course wasn't bad for the price
New Owners - change for the better
I haven't played Deer Creek for about a year. The course has a new owner and the improved condition was obvious as soon as I stepped up to the first tee box. I spoke with the new owner after the round and they are more than cordial. They have big plans and are excited about their new venture. This is a scenic layout and I look forward to playing again and watching the improvements take shape.
Needs a lot of work
I played this course 10 years ago, it was a great cource and a pleasure to play. Now it appears to be run down and lacking maintance. The cource isn't layed out very well and due to the lack of signs, it is confusing as to where the greens are and where to find the next hole. I hope they turn the cource around because it use to be my favorate cource.
