Reviews
Excellent choice
Played 01 Aug 2013, excellent condition fairways, tee boxes, and greens. Very enjoyable of golf, pace of play fantastic. Beautiful course, Place your shots for a better score. We loved the course we will be back, and it is a 2 hour drive for us to get there. Never played it before, was very pleased with this course.
Challenging course in good condition
First time to play this course and it has many different types of shots you will have to play, I like that about it. I do wish I had more of a warning on certain holes of where to play and where not to play the ball....perhaps a short description of the do's and don'ts on the scorecard would be handy. Pace of pay was a little slow on the front, but overall it was a very enjoyable round
This course is in great shape !!
We enjoyed this course and will go back. We live 100 miles plus from this course. Great value !!
Great course, easy to get on and makes you work for your score.
Greens are hard to read and make you pay attention to your roll. I found the fairways in great shape and well maintained. Tees are in good shape and the roughs make you pay for your mistakes.
Great course - I will return!
This course has a little of everything to offer.
Great course to play for the price! greens are outstanding. The fairways are very well maintained. Great variety of tee offs. I played 18 holes without being hurried and lost very few balls! Tons of wildlife to see while out on the course. It's just challenging enough to get you in the game but not enough to discourage you. I will be playing here all summer.
Great, challenging course that is a great value.
I really enjoyed Bent Creek. The course was in great condition and the staff was great. Played from the white tees and was challenged on every hole. Fairways were great and greens were challenging and in great condition. For 37.50 on a Saturday it was a great value. I wish it were closer to STL so I could play it more often.
Good challenge, well maintained.
Very challenging, well maintained course. Must keep the ball in play to have a chance. Zoysia fairways are generous, but rough was close to US Open height on some holes. All-in-all though, a very fair test of golf from any tees.
This course would be fun when it's dry.
We played this course a day after a big rain. It was a little sloppy getting around, but the course was in good shape after all the rain. Can't wait to play it when it is dry.
Great layout. Enjoyable to play.
Great layout. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Great value.
Drove from St. Louis which was about 1 1/2 hr. Overall liked the course. Good layout with some challenging holes. Course played fairly difficult from the blue tees as the wind was blowing and no roll due to wetness on the course. Only downside was the greens had just been aereated and dressed so putting was very difficult. Other than that, good experience. Will return once the course greens up.
Course is in good condition
Only have two places on the course that has drinking water. Need more water stops
Fun Course to Play
I have played this course many times. The staff is very friendly and will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. The course has some of the best greens in Southeast Missouri and is a lot of fun to play.
Great course
I love Bent Creek.. I play it every time I am in the area. The staff is very friendly and the course is challenging and fun. The greens were in fantastic condition even in December. It is definitely worth a visit and is a great value for the money.
Super nice course, always in great condition
I have played this course 4-5 times in the last 2 years and it has always been in great shape. The greens are the best in the area. They always are fairly fast, roll true but fair. The course is very challenging with a tee box to fit any level of golfer. It has a lot of risk/reward holes which I like in a course. I look forward to playing it again in the coming year.
Fun Course--Slow Players
This course is bent grass which means tight lies this late in November. The greens are in excellent shape as is the rest of the course. Lots of water that is in play and the bunkers were soft which made them fun to play.
I played this course for 18.00 through GolfNow. The guy in front of me paid 25.00 on a senior rate. GolfNow made this a tremondous value.
The best part of the day was joining up with a WWII Navy Veteran. At 87 years old, he still goes out and plays once a week. Great stories and he made the round even more enjoyable on the front nine.
The back nine had some slow play so I doubled back and started the back nine over again and still caught them by 17. On a Friday afternoon that wasn't good but that sometimes happens and certainly wasn't the fault of the course.
I would go back again and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a good course south of St Louis.
