Tiny greens with major slope
Got invited to the course and didn’t want to turn down a chance to play a private track. Really fun layout with tiny greens that had serious slope to them. Course was in great shape but probably a little short for bombers.
Tiny driving range that is right next to the first hole. So there were a ton of range balls on the left side of No. 1. A lot of trees on both sides of most fairways so it is a tight course. Must hit it straight off the tee! Interesting and challenging approach shots required to hit the small greens. Once on, the greens were challenging and very fast. Staying below the hole is a must or you will three putt. The finishing hole is fun with an approach over water.
Not much going on in Kirksville, Mo., but if you get on KCC, it is a great course to play.
A GOLFERS DELIGHT
KCC PRO Clint Fitzpatrick makes everyone’s day a delight right from the start. The course demands you to put the ball in the fairway in order to successfully manage your approach to severely slopes perfectly paced greens. The course is incredibly well maintained by course superintendent Chad Richman and his staff. After the round is finished the round is topped off well at the watering hole ran by Drew Yost. Couldn’t have had a better day of golf with friends the Colonel,Coach,Doc and the Pro! Thanks KCC and staff!!
