Greens are Shot
The greens are in terrible condition, tee boxes not much better. No food, thank goodness they have beer. I have been playing there since it went public and it is sad to see it in this condition. Come on Great Life.
Lib Hills. Better Shape than Last Year
Overall condition of course was good. Fairways excellent but several tee boxes were being re-worked and had no grasss. Several greens had multiple bare spots and diseased grass.
Needs Water & Care
The course was in terrible shape. Greens had been aerated (normal this time of year) but had dead/damaged spots all over them. A few holes had temp tee boxes and the regular tee boxes need some work as well. I've played this course off and on for 20 years and I can say without a doubt that it's in the worst shape ever. The layout is fine but needs some maintenance stat!
Great price !
Got the urge late Sunday played 9 holes, great price. The newer zoysia is tough to play on early until it greens up. Enjoyed myself and will go back thanks
Not good
Tee boxes in horrible shape. I'm fairly certain they don't water. Will not be coming back.
Good course but pricey
Course fun and great layout. Have played at least 20 times and always in good shape. They really push membership though, so if you are not a member of Great Life you will pay 50 bucks to play. It is NOT a 50 dollar course
Course was heavily booked. It was in decent shape for this time of year and they need to open up the restrooms.
Fairly Good Shape-No Winter Rates?
Course is in fair condition, cart paths need to be repaired/replaced on many holes.
All sand rakes had been pulled from bunkers.
Many of the tee boxes have new sod and this shortened the course...so my question is “Why did I pay full price?”
Interesting course and moderately Challenging
Liberty Hills is an interesting course and moderately challenging. The course has been upgraded and is currently being well cared for. Sand traps could use some refreshing. greens are nice and the staff is friendly and provides good service.
Nice course
This course was real nice. Never playing here before it was tough fairways are narrow lost a ton of balls haha, but rough is thin and greens and grounds are kept really nice. Wouldn't mind playing again just got to keep it in play!
Thank Goodness It Was Not Hot!!!
All of the water coolers were empty. I really like this challenging course, but if the sand traps are not raked, then they are not worth hitting out of.
I wish this course would fix the cart paths. No one uses them because they are rough and that is being kind.
Also, the golf cart needed some TLC, it would finally take off after waiting 5 seconds or so for it to move.
Next time I play there, I will stock up on water before driving out.
Fun course, fantastic value
I used to live near Liberty, and now live 85 miles north. Liberty Hills has long been among my favorite places to play, and the move to Great Life seems to have made the value even better. Fun, fair layout with plenty of challenge but no need to stress on every tee box. Greens rolled well today, and the rest of the course was good enough to play the ball down everywhere. This is my stop of choice when I get to KC and can fit in a round of golf before heading back north.
Only thing that wasn't up to liking was the cart paths. Once there are new ones put in, the course will be overall excellent for the value.
An enjoyable time
This course is pretty short and out of the way but that led to a rush free round that my daughter and I played in just under 4 hours. The greens were in pretty solid shape but not fast. Not bad for the $20 twilight green fee.
