Not well maintained
Most greens in good shape. Fairways stripped in zoysia every 12 inches, weeds growing in with it. Rough is cut 2 inches while wet last time leaving clumps of dried grass every where. Not worth the drive.
Bring a bag lunch
Was really disappointed with this place
The fairways were in horrible shape they had just been re-sodded
And they didn't have Jack for food Nass T hot dogs and they didn't even have any mustard
Overall very poor facilities
I will not be going back!!!
Fun course
Great place to play with some challenging holes an bunkers. The bunkers need some drainage help an more sand but still playable. Not a real hard course once you have played it. I think you will really enjoy it for the money.
not a bad course
Tee boxes and fairways were hard and very average. The greens were real nice and soft.
Good for golf bad for aminities
The course was in good condition and it is a fun trac. I have played here many times and would come back but don't plan on getting any food. The temp club house is not set up for food and there is no beverage cart. Maybe one day they may rebuild the club house.
Disappointing
No beer cart, back nine was stripped without being warned, and sand traps were in horrible condition. There are far better places to play for the money.
Stay Away!
The fairway looks like somebody drive a tank through it and the cart paths have pot holes everywhere. Dangerous!
Wouldn't play again if it's Free
Tee times ignored. Members go first. Members play 5-somes and jump on #10. Marshalls are members. Bad vibe. Steer clear of this facility.
Something to be desired
They ignore tee times. Circus. Get there and go is how it works tee time or not. Several groups (4-somes and 5-somes jumped on 10 and we waited 15 minutes a hole on the back. The members do what they want to, no course enforcement or organization of any kind. Play at your own risk. Won't be back even if it was free.
liberty hills
Course looks good so far this year. I think they should bag some of the loose grass clippings in the fairways instead of leave clumps of grass. Enjoyed the round. Improvements could be made to concessions. We thought about replaying 9 holes after our round but the extra charge was excessive so passed on that.
Lots of memories
My son played this course twice several years ago for his high school matches. The course maintenance guys have done a nice job of keeping things in playing condition. Keep up the good work, fellas. Nice staff in the clubhouse, too.
horrible
Although the course is beautiful our experience was not. Had a 12:40 tee arrived early only to have no carts available. Four groups waiting on carts. Did not get to tee box until 1:30. Staff had no clue what he was doing. Restrooms completely disgusting.
Really Disappointing
A friend and I played this course for the first time. It was disappointing. We arrived for our tee time only to be told they were out of carts and that we'd have to wait until someone finished to get a cart. Twenty minutes later we were finally on our way. The course, fairways and greens clearly hadn't been mowed in days; it's pretty obviously mismanaged. The only employees we saw on the course were teenagers. It's a bit sad because the course has great potential. It's not long but has several challenging aspects to it. Were it well maintained it would be a great play.
Fun, yet challenging
Nice layout ... Nice greens that role true ... Only thing needed is some sand in the traps.
Nice Day at Liberty Hills
My buddy and I played a decent round for a good price. Course was pretty nice. Staff was friendly.
Had a little trouble finding the course, coming from south and east. Blame google maps. They sent me the long way. Course is at County Rd H and County Rd EE, for those who need to map it.
Liberty Hills- can be better
First time playing this course. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were fairly good. Some bunkers were unraked and had no rakes near them. What struck me the most was that for a small amount of money and some elbow grease this course could be much better than it now is. The course has virtually no yardage markers. Some paint on the cartpaths and some 150 yard stakes would not cost that much. The vinyl stickers describing the holes and the yardage stickers that are peeling off could simply be glued back down. The best part was the price $20.00 for playing at 1400 hours.
A bit of a Goat Ranch!
I’m hoping the course just couldn’t keep up with the mowing because of all the recent rain! The fairways were in good shape but the rough was tall with lots of dead grass on top. If your ball rolled out of the fairway it was difficult to locate. The “natural areas” are were not very appealing. It kind of made you feel you were playing in a pasture. It’s an older course, easy to walk, with the greens and tees close together. It was a little hard to play as a first timer because of several blind shot or doglegs that I didn’t have yardage for. The greens were the bright spot and in pretty good shape. I’m guessing the front side must be newer than the back… the greens on the front were large with lots of elevation changes… the greens on the back were smaller and round. I only paid $17.50 so it was worth that, but would now want to pay much more!
LHCC
Course was nice but fairways were less than impressive.
Long when wet
Because of the rain, the rough was long and finding balls off the fairway was difficult.
The course layout is interesting but some blind tee shots. The Greens were good but slow, from not being mowed due to wetness
great layouts and tip top greens
I love the course design. The greens are in great shape. They are starting zoysia on the back nine.
Yardage markers on cart path need to be re-done.
