Cow Pasture
Not good. Early spring so I didn’t expect conditions to be great. But greens hadn’t been touched. Had to hammer every put and the bouncing rolls made putting really impossible. Just know that the person who built this place wasnt into golf course construction but housing. It’s clear this course was laid out by someone who had no idea what they were doing. I know that’s my harsh opinion but needing a hard hat to play as well as poorly planned holes isn’t my idea of challenging. You don’t just make a hole 400 yards and call it a par 4. HOW YOU PLAY THE HOLE is what makes it a par whatever. My friend and I left after 9 holes because it was clear scoring here would be impossible given the conditions and layout. To be fair, Shoal Creek and Tiffany Greens is more my idea of a golf course. This is a good ‘ole boy kind of track-if you know what I mean.
State of flux
This course has been under new management for one year now. They are making changes but it remains to be seen if they are for the better. So far, it doesn’t seem like they are doing much for the actual course. It is okay to play but I have been expecting more from it since they took over and raised the rates.
Fun setup. Rough fairways
The course was pretty healthy besides the fairways that are mostly dead.
Great value
This is one of the great value corses of kc. If you don’t mind a few planes flying above you. Plenty of challenges and hills. Interesting layouts. Not just a field with some tree lines separating the fairways.
Love this Couse Drve 100 miles to play it TOO
Great Course and the Weed was Free Also! A True Hippie Hangout! Had so much Fun cant wait till My Bud comes Back!!!
Great shape
Course in great shape ,especially for November. Will even be better in the spring with the work on tee-box and fairways where grass was thin.
First time playing post surgery
Challenging course but beautiful and extremely well kept.
Don't play on a rainy day
It was a rainy day , the course wasn't closed but it should have been. The resturant was closed, there was only 1 person in the golf shop, with not even a hot dog to be had. We were the only 4 some and 1 other 3 some , no other golfers to be seen.
We had paid in advance so there was no refund or a later tee time. Probably wont be going back, or at least not by paying in advance.
Neat Little gem
What a cool golf course! And now part of the GreatLife family!
Had good day on the course
Was good day. I hit some bad shots and still shot an 81 so verry happy. The greens were rolling great I just couldn't make much. Got waived thru twice which i appreciate.
Most unsafe course I've played in 20 years
The greens are in great shape. The lack of rain has the fairways dried out. The back 9 of this course is the most unsafe golf course I've ever played. 12-17 is pretty much one giant field with balls flying everywhere. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend this course or play it again.
Pace of play
Seemed no one was monitoring a couple of very slow groups on back nine held up entire course nearly 3 hours for what should be a very short back nine.
Decent Course Layout, Fairways Burnt, Greens Great
As for layout, there is variety. The course has plenty of length, and a mix of difficult versus moderate holes. The fairways were not watered and were hard pan or very thin grass. The greens were in great shape and very consistent. I liked the course layout as it had bail out areas and allowed the golfer to choose where to miss to take danger out of play. If fairways had been in a little better shape, I would have rated this course higher. As it is, this is a playable course and when priced under $35 a decent value. I would not consider this course a must play, but a decent place to play.
