Pace of Play more important than a shred of grass
Nothing like paying $75 to play a course where the 14 year old cart boys follow you on every hole to make sure not a single tire touches a blade of grass. If only they cared about the 5.5 hour pace of play as much. We had two groups and both quit after 14 holes due to the Marshall’s letting several groups take 25 minutes per hole. Will never return, and would not recommend anyone else to either.
Do not waste your money
Good layout. Otherwise, complete waste of money. Foursome in front of quit on 13th hole and we still waited 10 minutes on every tee box. Was cart path only and got scorned by 14 year old employees because we pulled off cart path to let people drive pass.
Good round
It was a great course but the pace of play was slow
Nice course
Fun, strategic course in nice shape. The kikuyu grass fairways were a pleasant surprise as it creates ideal lies. Unfortunately, the greens are far too slow for a course of this caliber which costs them a star on this review. Also, the mosquitos were an absolute nuisance. I leave the course with bites on my neck, calves, arms and ankles. About 10 all together.
I believe with some tree removal and bug spraying, this could be a 5 star course.
Nice course but gotta let folks know when range is closed
Got off on the wrong foot with range closed. I'm getting too old to start without a warm up. They said it was too wet. Really? Otherwise great layout. Fairly well kept. Greens exceptional.
Very nice!
With all the rain in the area for the last week or so, the course in great condition
Beautiful Course
This is an impressive course that was in great condition even with the heat wave. Fairways and tee boxes were well defined and the rough was playable. Most impressive were the size and consistent roll on the greens. Layout was fun and challenging, but the putting was tremendous with lots of undulations and slope. Bunkers were deep and the sand was raked and in good shape. The last three holes are some of the best in Missouri and fun to play. I look forward to a return visit in the near future!!
Bluffs Roind
Great course. Pace of play unsatisfactory but holiday weekend, so not unexpected. Many twosomes - should have been paired to reduce congestion.
Missouri Bluffs
First time playing @ Missouri Bluffs. The course itself is beautiful and challenging. Im rating 4 stars because the greens were in pretty bad shape. I understand that we are coming out of winter but the price was on the high side considering the situation. Im looking forward to return and cut a few strokes from a couple putts i made.
Disappointing Experience
We only play this course a few times a year since our multiple league schedule does not allow time for more. The course was aerating the back nine, which we were notified of when we arrived. No where on the course website or through GolfNow was there notification of this maintenance and inconvenience. To top things off, new groups were allowed to start and delayed the progress of groups making the turn after the first nine holes. The bar in the clubhouse closed early and did not allow for any refreshments after the round.
Very disappointing and not the first time with issues at this course. Not sure if we will return and need to evaluate GolfNow for next year's membership. Disgusted.
Greens have been aerated
The greens have been very recently aerated and sanded. There was no note when we made the reservation. It’s hardly worth $69 if you can’t putt on the greens. We could barely get a putt to roll straight.
I recently played a course booked on GolfNow that notified us before the reservation was made. It feels like they were disguising it. It’s a ripoff at $69.
Great Views
This is a great course with a lot of positives. The tee boxes, fairways and grass in general are in fantastic shape. The greens need some work though. With as good of a course as this is it seems like people would fix marks on the greens. Probably the worst I’ve played all year but I guess people in St. Charles aren’t known for being considerate of others. Aside from that, I love this course. The only other public course in the area that really compares from a layout perspective is Annbriar.
