Nice!
Course was in pretty good shape and the greens were perfect. At times, some fairways was hard to tell the difference between the where the fairway meets the rough. Fairways have a lot of small cow grass growing that can cause some crazy ball bounce. It would be nice to see the fairways flatten out this fall and grow in over the winter and shpuld be in killer shape for spring. In the meantime, the price is right and I will be playing here again.
Course is ready
From tee to green every part of the corse is in playable condition if you are looking for country club conditions go and pay $70 or more I just find that this course is a good match for my abilities focus, focus, and a pre swing routine always helps if I could stay in that world still always have a good time.
Thanks to the crew at the course!
Great round
The course was in great shape. I had my best round ever, which flavored the experience somewhat! Always an enjoyable course to play.
Ready to go
From tee to green ready for golf combine that with the great weather you can’t go wrong no complaints from me just relax and enjoy thanks to everyone there for all their hard work and the fairway on 13 was full of geese and they put their lives in jeopardy in front of me my ball rolled right through them they didn’t even flinch.
How funny
Course in Great Shape
Considering the excess heat and dry condition, course was in great shape. Fairways were a little “hairy” but that is to be expected to counteract the weather.
Beautiful Day
Match the weather with the course and you might ask”Is this heaven “ the greens are in great shape a little on the slow side and the rough around the greens is still a challenge just not as green and grabby like it was I wish I could play more but my knees say no so get to the course and enjoy
Ready for play
From tee to green was in good shape a few bunkers still have water in them the problem on hole #5 is almost finished being repaired and the rough is still thick and tough love the challenge my day was good bad and a little ugly I will still work on the bad and ugly love this course I always see the little things they do to improve it here and there so thanks to all their effort
Decent Layout, slow and slower
Pretty clear, they let out as many singles as they want. Weekend singles have no business on the course. During the week sure, but not mid-day Sunday. This was the obvious reason for slow play. There was a bit of rain in previous days so I understand the grass will be long, so for that I’ll give them a pass. If the fairways were cut and the greens got rolled/cut I could see this being a fun track. It’s a local muni, so I know it’s tough to keep things up. At the same time, if you’re gonna have a golf course.. have a golf course. If you don’t want to spend the money to keep it up, charge an amount that correlates to the conditions. Pretty simple.
Rain delay!
Well the course needed rain but it has received too much it is really wet and the grass can’t be cut properly so as before you were getting a lot of extra distance we’ll not right now the grass just grabs everything and the puddles of water also slow things down and hitting out of the taller fairway grass is a challenge with warmer dry weather predicted should get things where they can catch up on the grass cutting and it looks like they will have the cart path cave in on hole 5 fixed like I said TONS of rain but I still love this course and the whole crew is doing their best keeping up with the big storms
We needed the rain
Well the course has been gifted a little too much rain and storms so the bunkers are what you would expect and the grass is a bit high but you can’t run big mowers through the water logged fairway’s and speaking of fairway’s they are in good shape it is nice to have grass under your ball most of the time (could have taken a picture) the heavy rains took out a section of the cart path on number 5 unbelievable! What a shame but I am sure they have plans to correct it. The greens were just ok but once again to wet to cut you would do more damage than good so more storms on Wednesday no time to dry out just yet but i still love playing this course.
Storm damage
For the second time in a few weeks the course was hit by severe rain and winds lost a few trees but the crew there had it back in playable condition great job!
The area needed rain but not all in one day so the bunkers are full of water the fairways and greens are in good shape and it was really busy for an afternoon tee time and it was packed when I left.
They are really working so hard there I appreciate their effort!
Big storm
Played the day after a bad storm and it poured down rain when I got there so it is what you can imagine but the course needed the rain so that was a good thing still enjoyed being out and watching the geese play in the sand trap full of water on the third hole Ha!
Still ready for play
The effects of the dry hot weather are starting to show here and there greens are in good shape fairways are hard so you get a lot of extra distance if you hit it where you can find it my ball trickled into a fairway bunker it was a little on the firm side a lesson learned but overall had a real enjoyable round can’t fault the course because of my ability and the dry weather but would love to see some work done on some of the cart paths.
Thanks
