Getting ready to close
They are getting ready to update the course and so there is not much maintenance going on. Nice old course but it will be much better when it reopens
Nice greens poor fairways.
Course is scheduled for a complete rebuild by Nicklaus. The fairways have almost no grass but the greens were good.
Course in very poor condition - especially sand traps and cart paths. They were at least three tee times behind from our actual tee time. Will not play here again until the planned course enhancements are completed.
Horrible
Might as well fill the bunkers in with concrete. Might as well pave the greens with the same concrete….ball would roll a little smoother. If you hit in the rough, better just take a drop. If you’re gonna let the course go, you should charge less.
Overpriced
Might as well fill the bunkers with concrete. Super disappointed. I actually had a ball bounce over the hole on a putt.
Mature trees nice layout
No driving on the driving range, but you have plenty of green space on the first couple of holes to dial your drive in. Down hill par 3's, blind drives, and some lengthy holes... including a 250 par 3 to bring you home for the day. I like this place a lot, looking forward to what they do with their planned renovation commencing in Nov. of 22.
Kicked us off the course with 1 hole left
Went to play after work. We teed off at 415. At 815, we were hitting our shots into the 17th green. They came around and told us we had to leave. There was about 45 minutes of daylight left. The reason it took us 4 hours up until then was the cart was honestly the slowest cart I've ever been in. We could have walked faster, but it was about 95 degrees. Will never go back out of principle.
Worst Prices For What you Get
Objectively, have played this course for 20 + years and never seen prices this high for what you get!
No bunkers ✅
Lumpy uneven cut greens ✅
Bad Tee boxes ✅
Improperly trained or untrained workforce ✅
Slow Pace of Play ✅
Desperately needs help
I know they may be totally revamping soon but used to play in the past a lot…now it really needs help. In very poor shape and disappointing.
It’s been worse!
Greens were rolling really well. Fairways were almost nonexistent-better off hitting into the rough right now.
We are sorry to hear about your experience at our golf course. We try to give golfers the best experience that we can possibly provide for them and appreciate all feedback. I am the general manager at the facility and I'd love to help with some of your frustrations. Our bunkers are not in the best shape due to the cost of fixing each bunker. We are beginning renovations on 11/1. Instead of putting money into the bunkers that are going to be redone in November, we are going to wait until the renovations begin. Our tee boxes are in the process of being resodded. We apologize if the temporary tee boxes aren't ideal for our golfers and we will open our resodded tee boxes as soon as the sod establishes shallow roots. We train each employee to be able to do their jobs to the best of their ability. They are not trained to handle a golfer screaming profanities at them and other golfers for not letting someone play for a reduced rate for golf at 7 AM on a Saturday morning. We tried to reason with you in a calm and professional manner for 20 minutes and after having you scream at us on a busy Saturday we had to ask you to leave. We hope you understand our reasoning.
Our Marshall and Starter try to make sure rounds stay in the 4.5-hour range. They are out there every weekend to make sure the pace of the course is reasonable for all golfers. I hope this answered any of the questions you had.
