Nice layout with a couple very challenging holes where you must hit over water twice. Nice green fairways, greens played a little slow. Pretty course with no houses . The cart paths were bumpy and need some smoothing out. Otherwise it was a fun challenging course , particularly the front nine.

I played this course and it was in excellent condition. Staff extremely friendly and provided tips on almost every hole since I'd never played. Yard on card appears short, but demanding shots on every hole. Nice touch to have open, Links Style on back nine and tree lined holes on front. I will definitely play again before leaving area.

My friends and I booked a round and only had 3 people. The course filled the 4th spot with a local. The local was a foul mouthed ringer who would not stop swearing the entire round. They even wanted to gamble on holes. We were scolded by the marshal for playing too slow, when we were waiting for the group in front of us to get off of the green so we could hit. Overall it was a nice course, but the staff and regulars were less than desirable.

I really like the layout of Emerald but the fairways were quite dry and suffering from lack of water and the greens were on the spongy side which made them very slow.

It truly was a beautiful course! Thanks for the experience.

I enjoyed the round I played, greens were pretty slow, and some of the tee boxes were a little beat up.but overall it's somewhere I would choose to golf again.

nice course, interesting layout, very courteous staff. nothing bad to say about it. except for pace of play. the pace of play is excruciatingly slow. 4 hours for 18 holes, not 5 or 5 and a half. detest slow play, no reason for it. I would recommend trying it during the week and maybe you can do a 4 hour round, if you go on a weekend be prepared for a 5 hour round.

Greens were in great shape. Fairways have not greened up yet but were very playable. Nice test of golf! Very friendly staff. Great value. We always try to play the course when we are in the area.

I enjoyed the course but it need some attention to the sand traps they were unplayable. Also no water available on the whole course, that can be a problem in that Texas heat. The greens was in good condition but they needed to be cut down they were extremely slow, had to be rolling about a five. It's a nice layout well worth the price you can get on golfnow plus don't go there thinking to warm up on the driving range because there's not one.

This is my favorite courses in the STL area! The layout is challenging and no hole is alike! Course is almost always in great shape and you can get some good deals on their website! If your playing the course for the first time, bring someone that has played or drive ahead to check it out! Some holes are not normal, but this is why I love the course!

Arrived for 9:51 am tee time and the clubhouse had called a 45-minute frost delay. All players were sent out on #10 because of the frost; however, we rode down to # 1 green while at the putting green and everything looked playable - not our call. Cart path only added to slow play. A twosome behind us dogged us all the way to the turn, but we did not let them play through because the rate of play was just right between us and the foursome ahead of us; they passed us at the turn as we stopped at the clubhouse. At the turn from # 18 to # 1, the threesome behind us rode right past us and played # 2, then complained that we had hit 2 balls into them at the blind spot at the lake - our balls were no where to be found, we believe those players hit our balls into the lake. Bottom line, the course is a great and challenging course to play, but every effort should be made to avoid sending twosomes out on the course, marshal presence is a MUST, and a bell should be installed at the exit point of the blind spot on # 2.

November 2015 = Greens in good shape, this is a good course for the money. Some wonkie holes, but for the most part an enjoyable play.

Emerald Greens is the hidden gem of North County. Nestled in the expansive acres of the Pipe Fitters complex, EG has great fall color trees, a few lakes and lush zoysia fairways. Their greens were in good shape- slightly soft but rolled pretty true. This is a shot makers course as many holes challenge you to not just bust your driver. Every time I play it I see deer! It is a relaxing time out Emerald Greens!

I booked a noon tee time and we were unaware they were starting on 10 that day. The Marshall comes comes down while we are on 1 and tells us to go to 10. When we get to 10 there is a 4some and a 3 some on the box. It was 12 and we ended up teeing off at 1230. I purchased a 12 tee time. Not 1230. The staff was not accommodating to that.

I've played about 20 courses in the area and I feel this is the best course for the money. It's s shame they don't have a driving range though so I'll rarely go back. If you don't care about warming up this is a great course. Greens are slow.

It's a great little course. Not a long course. The value was great too. $23for this nice course is a steal. Nothing bad to say about the course. Greens were little slow, and fairways are in great shape.
