Horrible
Do not waste your time or money here. It's clear that management lacks the resources and capital to maintain 27 holes. Absolutely horrendous conditions from tee to green. Not too mention the carts are filthy with mildew all over the seats, are particular cart had mechanical issues and felt like it was over heating, the seat became very hot.
I wish someone would save this place, absolutely great layout.
Skinny tees
Above all else need to get tee boxes growing. Some spots in rough and fairways also very thin..
Its a great track, just needs some love..
Must have fixed 50 ball boards. If everyone just did 2 there would be zero.
Unexpected Gem
When we first arrived we weren’t sure what to expect but were quickly greeted with friendly staff inside the club house and a course full of intense beauty! For October golf the course was in amazing shape! Signage was incredible :) A challenging but fun course to play! We will come back some day!
Amazing course layout
First time here but won’t be my last.
Drove 3 hours from Canada and was worth the drive.
Unfortunately I had an emergency call from my mom and had to leave after 8 holes.
But loved each single hole we’ve played.
See you soon
Few level shots
Course was in good real good shape. Golfed by myself and starter changed by back nine so I could experience a faster pace of play.
Course in good shape
Played the Hills and the Jungle. Many fairway shots with a tough lie made it a bit challenging. Course was still wet from recent rains but course was in real good shape.
Poor Service
Really poor communication from the golf shop, and even worse customer service from management. Wish they would've just owned a mistake they made over the phone instead of arguing it.
Great collection
Excellent pace of play. Course in great shape. Players need to be reminded to repair their ball marks on the greens. No need for a fancy club house when your course is this nice.
Went as a single and was to be paired up, but the rest of the group arrived early and tee'd off 25 minutes early. I went out as a single, played through the 3-some and finished in just about 2 1/2 hours. was not busy. Greens and fairways in great shape thanks to amount of rain all summer. Nothing in the way of amentities. Tough course from the blues and blacks, whites are still challenging - so it offers everyone a good and honest challenge if you play from the proper tees.
First time
Very pretty course, pace of play was rushed due to golfers behind us. They wouldn’t play through and insisted on waiting. Staff was friendly, club house nothing special. But overall a good experience and will definitely be back.
Copper Hills
First three holes took well over an hour. Called the Clubhouse to see why it was so slow at 8:00 AM and a woman who answered the phone told me, “if you don’t like the pace of play then leave and we will give you a nine hole rain check. Real classy! Only wanted a Ranger to come out and push play a little
Hirer Paul Kolbe (Colbe)
A superintendent with nearly 30 years of experience..
Please bring this course to the conditions it deserves.
And until then drop the price your driving it o.b !!!!
Sorry for your loss pertaining to the man in charge passing away
I just played here on July 30 and it seemed to be fairly well maintained. Yes, it has been it better condition, but the greens were true and quick and the fairways rolled and were lush and green. The bunkers were missing, but there was a sign in the clubhouse offering free drops. The owner recently passed away and the course spent some time in "limbo" business-wise from what I understand but after speaking with the staff this weekend it seems that they are committed to bringing the course back to championship conditions.
Tommy, We are sorry about your experience at Copper Hills. With Curtis, the previous owner getting cancer and passing away it was a tough couple of years for us. We have a new superintendent that just started early July. You should see some major improvements. We are working hard at renovating our bunkers and improving our course conditions. Seeing all the improvements we are making, we hope you give us another try.
