Slow play
Pace of play was bad there was a 5 some playing in front of us that hacked around for 18 holes. We followed them for the complete round and they never offered to let our 2 some play thru "but of course they were members "
Course was in pretty good shape, seeing they lost quite a few trees. ( Which helped my game) Staff was very friendly .
Ashland CC super bang for the buck!
Fun course with everything a golfer could ask for layout wise! This is a little gem for the price, good staff, good condition and great price!
Pace of play
Very slow! It took 4 1/2 hours to play plus the course let their members tee off first and some of them are walking taking their time to hit shots. Will never play this course again specially on a hot day!
Nice round
Been a long time since I have played Ashland, the course was in good shape and the greens were true to what you read. Nice for a change of pace
Making a Charge!
Haven't played this course in a few years. I was impressed with the improvements which have been made here. The condition of the tees, fairways and greens was much better than I remember. This is a fun and challenging layout with some unusual but interesting twists. There are a few strategically placed water hazards as well as a combination of large and small greens of different shapes with a variety of either flat or undulating surfaces. Trees come into play on many holes and there is a good mix of straight holes and doglegs. The sand traps were immaculate and had some of the best conditioned sand I have seen anywhere in this entire area including the course in Lincoln where I am a member. There is a well stocked pro shop and the clubhouse is able to accommodate the usual services. Although the warm-up areas are still lacking, no driving range, small putting green; the efforts and improvements made recently at this course are definitely worth checking out and the value is very high for this fee range. I had a great time with two friends from my home course. Thanks Ashland CC and Golf Advisor.
Great price for a nice course.
Course was in great shape, and pace of play was excellent. Just no driving rage. Definitely would refer this course.
Stuck behind two groups of 5 through all eighteen. Thought that's why people joined Country Clubs to avoid the issues of public course. Slow play
Good Course
The course was nice to play. Little away from town, but it was (is) worth the drive for two reasons; cost and pace of play. Nice layout, not hard.
Great experience for my wife
Have played this course before and found it to be in much better shape now under the new management.
The rough was always to long before and that slowed the pace of play a lot. Much better now.
USER FRIENDLY PLACE
Played here twice this week. We really enjoyed it. It is kind of hard to lose a ball and the greens are excellent. Top Shelf.
The kind of course I wish I could play every day. It has no Hills and is easy to walk.
Its a great value for the money and you wont feel like the course architect just wanted to humiliate you.
On the bad side.. NO driving Range. Small practice green. A few spots where the sprinkler lines may be broken as there is standing water in the fairway. Only one Beer on Tap and they were out of that today. Bummer.
If your looking for FUN course that Wont break the Bank and Wont Humiliate you Then this is the place. Give it a Try.
Good Variety
This is a very nice course that wasn't in the greatest of condition. The entire curse was over-watered except for the tee boxes. The greens ran about 9 on the stimp meter but whoever installed the holes on the greens didn't do it correctly as there was a ridge around about half of the holes. The course was understaffed as it took a while to get service in the pro-shop and in the bar/restaurant. There is no driving range at this course.
Thank you for your review. We're working hard to maintain our service levels, but it is very difficult to do with so little staff members this time of year. Please come see us again, we really appreciate your honest review!

Great value
I really enjoy the layout of Ashland. Flat, very playable, more open than not. The greens on the back 9 are a blast. Large and undulating. The most fun 3-putting you can have.
The greens were in very good shape as were the fairways and tee boxes overall.
There were quite a few folks playing on this gorgeous November day, due to the Husker game being played later that night. Golf, then football. The pace of play was great this day, though. Moved right along and had no one pressing us.
For the money paid via online tee time deal, unbeatable 18 with cart included.
A very good course for the money.
Would not play again
Too many people on this course do not know what golf is or how to play. The pace of play was so poor we quite after 12 holes because 4 hours at that point was plenty for us. My wife and I would certainly not go back.
Great Day of Golf
My son and I had a great day of golf, course was in very good shape, had a little standing water from rain, but did not effect our round. Greens in great shape, tee boxes a little confusing, but signage very good and made it work. We finish 18 holes in 3 hours and 15 minutes, great pace. Fun gold round.
Great case
Wonderful place to play. Pace was good for a holiday weekend. Staff was friendly.
Ashland Country Club
Very enjoyable rounds of golf out at Ashland. Always nice staff, course is great, does not overlap tee times so pace of play is right on point. I would highly recommend this course.
Our weekdays are considered Mon-Fri. Weekends would be considered Saturday & Sunday. Some golf courses include Friday with their weekend rates/policies so I wanted to clarify.
I'm sorry your experience was negatively impacted due to pace of play. We do not allow fivesomes on the weekends (Mon-Fri) from March-October. Please come see us again sometime soon!
