The 6th on the Blackbird 9 is a fun, downhill par 4. With the right wind, long hitters can be aggressive. Photo submitted by GolferJake78 on 05/01/2022

The 8th in the Grayhawk 9 is a tricky par 3, and plays a bit shorter than the others. Photo submitted by GolferJake78 on 05/01/2022

A Solid Offering
Despite some really bad weather, I played the Blackbird/Grayhawk routing of Indian Creek in the Omaha area. This is the layout the Korn Ferry Tour plays for their season finale event. I understand why the pros like this course. It's a strong test, with thick rough and significant bunkering, yet very few tricks. The course is very fair...hit good shots, get good results.
Despite a rough spring, weather-wise, Indian Creek is in really good condition. The greens are not yet up to peak season pace, but they roll true. The fairways are in great condition, and with plenty of short grass around the greens, a variety of short game options are possible.
The layout moves nicely over the hilly land, and uses the slopes to create some interesting tee shot options. There really isn't a bad hole on the property, but there aren't any great holes either. It's a collection of really good holes designed to test good players.
I definitely recommend checking out Indian Creek if you're in the Omaha area. The pricing is reasonable, the course is well maintained, and it's always fun to play where the pros play.

Don’t go on the weekend
I have played this course many times and have never had this bad of experience. The weekend prices for a junior are the same as a regular golfer. My son really has never played a tough course before and subsequently had the ranger following us to make sure we were behaving ourselves. Every time I turned around, there he was watching us like a hawk. On one hole we accidentally drove our carts on a part of the fairway that was off limits and he asked us if we knew what the carts with an arrow meant. I was all apologetic and immediately moved the carts. I watched that hole pas we proceeded around the course and the next two groups were on the fairway just as I was. Did he bust them? Nope.
It was a hot day and on the first hole the cart girl drove by asking if we wanted a drink. Since we had just started we didn't need anything. After that I am guessing that she didn't care about serving us because she skipped us on holes 4 and 7. Both holes she was coming up the cart path and would skip over to another hole, bypassing our group.
The other thing that sucked is the carts were practically dead. The last 4 holes of playing 18 the carts would barely make it around on the cart paths. Forget about driving on the grass to your ball, you would never make it.
Next time I will find another course where I get better service, a more reasonable price, carts that work and people who dont just care about there own facilities. I have been coming to this course for many years not only for weddings and range practice but dont know if or when I will be back.
Challenging layout
I have always loved this course, but with the recent improvements and rebunkering it is especially nice and tough but fair. I played on a windy day which made it more difficult. You are rewarded for good shots and pusished for bad ones. The greens were excellent.
Mixed Feelings
Played this course with my son while visiting Omaha for the college world series.
Pros: This course was visually very pleasing and I was excited to play it standing on the first tee. The course was in really great shape and you can quickly see the effort that multiple course workers are putting into it as you work through the holes. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: We played all 27 holes on this property and not 1 of them is memorable. Every hole seems to have a fairway bunker on the left and a fairway bunker on the right, both located roughly 250-280 yards from the tee (blue tees). This design is perfectly fine but on every single hole? The course just lacks creativity overall and it feels like you're playing the same hole over and over and over again. I hate to be negative about it because it was very well kept and a good experience but I was just left wanting more.
PGA QUALITY COURSE
I have played here dozens of times. It can be a tough track. They put bunkers on every hole and put one on each side of the fairway the same distance i hit my driver.
That said... The people are super nice that run it.
Well Taken care of. They have 27 holes and will be hosting the Web.com tour next month.
top Shelf. Better than most Country clubs. It probably is a 5 star experience but I save those for courses that just blow me away....
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. I WILL BE BACK MANY MORE TIMES.
Great course
Played here on a Tuesday morning as a single. Easy to get to the course from west Omaha, clubhouse is modern and nice. Very friendly staff here, very helpful. Tees, fairways and greens were in great shape. Not the hardest course but still a challenge for a 16 handicapper. I'll play again.
Indian Creek
I was impressed beginning with the view of the clubhouse and course upon driving into the gates. I have played 5 courses this week and Indian Creek is without a doubt, the best course I have come across yet. Conditions were spectacular, rough was a challenge, thick and lush, the greens were smooth and fast, a real challenge for all. I would play this one again and again!
Fairways were in great shape
The course was in great shape. The greens were smooth and fast. The fairways were like plush carpet. The sand traps had good sand. The course was difficult and played long.
Course condition
Best kept course in Omaha that is open to the public
Challenging but an awesome course
If you want to play somewhere where they have properly groomed grass in all areas, and where the bunkers are actually nice to hit out of because it's actual PGA style white sand and you can often get deals to go for half price then this is the place to go. If you play from blue or black it brings fairway bunkers into play on numerous holes throughout the three nines. I personally like to play the black and gray courses but the red is still nice. Gray has wider fairways and black/red are tighter. Hope you enjoy the course !!!
This course is tough but fair.
Course will challenge any skill set, but still provide a great experience.
One of the best courses in Nebraska!!!
Indian Creek is by far one of my favorite courses to play! The course is immaculately taken care of to the last detail, and never disappoints!
Indian Creek does a fantastic job keeping the pace of play in time, does not overbook, and has marshals keeping everything running smoothly! Each cart has GPS in it, and is extremely accurate to precise pin positions which change regularly.
I got a steal on the price for this round, but was happy to pay full price on 4 days earlier to play all 36 of Indian Creek's holes.
I will definitely be back, multiple times per year, as I have the last few years.
Nice day
Course was in great shape for mid summer. We played early so everything was really wet till the 2nd nine when greens really sped up. Overall it was worth the time and 54.00 bucks. Most expensive public course in metro, but this includes your cart so the value is the same as most on a Sunday morning
Cheap 18 holes but tough conditions this time of the year......
purchased "hot" price for Red Feather and showed up to course and had to play Black to Gray; extreme winter kill conditions in fairways, cart path only with extreme difficulty finding yardage markers, most likely would not have played even at 49% off, by no means would I be paying full price to play at this point in the season; this being said, Indian Creek is certainly a premier location in the Omaha area especially with 27 holes and normally in very good condition
Wait to play
Normally this coarse is great to play but they just over seeded so no one could drive off the cart path. The fairways were very patchy but the greens were in pretty good shape. Normally this coarse is in great shape but they are doing a lot of maintenance to it. My recommendation is wait a few months too play!
Best course in the metro area.
My favorite course in the metro and I was able to play it in less than four hours and at a discount. Enough said. Great course layout. No two holes are the same. Highly recommended by this golfer.
For the price it is a pristine course with a great staff. You are made to feel welcome.
excellent fairways and greens. The fairway bunker placement can be challenging but not too difficult. Pace of play good for the length of the course. All staff very friendly.
great course
great condition and great course. played black and red. can't wait to try out the new grey!
Had a blast.
I even played well. Great weather coarse looked good, overall a good day of golf.
This course has some great holes
The course was in great shape over memorial weekend. The new Greyhawk is more difficult with the addition of some sandtraps. They did a good job of keeping everyone separated and not over book.
