Course needs work
Tee Box, fairways, and greens were in bad condition. Even if you hit the ball down the middle, you can still lose the ball due to fairway grass being too long. Jeannie at the clubhouse was very friendly and personable. She was the best part of our round.
It was a beautiful day
A great place to work on your game. Very little waiting to play the next hole an no back pressure. Course is rough in places but for the price can not be beaten.
Challenging layout. Not well kept.
I really like the 18 hole track. Some challenging holes and testy shots. What I don’t like is, the ‘fairways’ were weedy, taller than most roughs I’ve played in and mowed poorly. I’d play it again, but only as a GolfNow Hot Deal @ $11/round.
The fairways had not been mowed in some time - we spent most of our time looking for our balls in the fairway. The greens were is various states from really crappy to just crappy - When we said something to the manager they said they mower guy quit and and since we had used Golf Now we didn't deserve any break...
We will never be back
The course still needed some cleanup after winter. For the money, you can’t beat this place. The staff were real friendly and hospitable. Definitely will play it again.
The course was virtually unplayable. fairways were as tall as most roughs. Seems the course is not well maintained. I understan that October golf in the midwest means leaves, but the course itself was just in bad shape. The back nine played like the add-on that it is. Had high hopes, but won't be back.
We only paid $20, so that being said, it was a fair value. #10 really needs a lot of work to reduce some of the trees ( no room through them to fairway). #16 also needs to be cleaned up and show a diagram of hole). Lots of water grass all over the course. Had fun but except a great course.
Know what you're getting into before you go, and you'll have plenty of fun. If you're looking for a well manicured course look elsewhere. If you're looking to have a good time come on out.
Pros: friendly staff, pace of play is excellent, and there's some fun holes - especially on the back (bottom) nine.
Cons: greens are usually in rough shape, weeds and tall grass on some tee boxes.
Overall I'd recommend this course for an average golfer looking to have fun. I wouldn't recommend it to a competitive golfer.
Family friendly course
Short course, unique layout, and it was fun to play. But the course was not in good shape.
Fun & Somewhat Challenging Course
Fun course and great value for the money. Paid $22 bucks to play with 4 buddies on Memorial Day, course let us out with 5 players without any problem. We kept a good pace of play and got through in about 4 and a half hours. Fairways aren't really much of a fairway, but greens were pretty well kept and for $22 it was great value. I'd recommend for a low price if you're looking to get outside of omaha.
Friendly people, staff and other golfers. Lost my phone while playing and it was back at the clubhouse before I finished my round. Kudos to Mark. Back nine very technical and fun to play.
The course is a little rough but one can usually get on to play and usually not very crowded. Prepare to lose some balls! It's a fun course though. I'm pretty green at golf so we enjoy it.
This course was great!
The course had a great mix of challenging yet fun holes. We can't wait to get back and try it again. The layout was a bit tricky on the back 9 so you really have to pay attention to where you tee off. Staff was very friendly. We are looking forward to our next time at Valley View.
Nice course, friendly staff and good experience
