Not good
I heard good things about this place from fellow golfers. They must not have been there in awhile because this place is not good at all. I don't think there is any maintenance on the course exept mowing the grass. The guy in the clubhouse seemed mad at me because I paid $15 for a round with a cart when the regular rate was $35+. It is definitely not a memorable place. I can remember every hole of every course I have played, except this one. The $15 I payed should be the regular rate.
good value
The greens were in pretty good shape. The fairways were good in some ares and not good in others. #4 has a sand trap that had almost no sand in it. There is maintenance needed.
Tough greens
The day that my buddies and I played, the greens were extremely challenging. They were in great shape, but still tough to read because of the slopes.
This course lies in a nice quiet heavily wooded area. The greens are very challenging.
The greens are pretty tough on some holes. The fairways are narrow. It's nice and quiet and the course is pretty well maintained.
great course. plenty of challenging holes and some easy ones to balance it out.
Love this course, has more to offer than any public course in omaha. If you think your good, play here and then you'll have a true judgement of your game.
Great layout but greens were in bad shape, very yellow and bumpy.
Greens in bad shape but the rest of course was nice. Really liked the layout and it wasn't overly hard to golf it.
HORRIBLE customer service and rude
I went to Bay Hills yesterday and was highly disappointed and I left angry and hurt. I called the day before my tee time to make sure that my fiance' could ride along with me if I played their course for no charge. I was told it would be fine. My Fiance' is mentally challenged and does not leave the house often so this was a big deal to her, and me for that matter.
When I got to the course, the rude man behind the counter, Henry, was very unpleasant to me and told me I could not have my finace' ride with me unless I paid her green fees. I explained I had called the day before and was told it would be ok. He called me a liar then proceeded to just walk away from me. When I got his attention again, he told me to call golfnow and talk to them because he would not help me. Thank God golfnow.com refunded my purchase.
I will NEVER return to this course and I will make DARN sure everyone I know, including the people who read my golf blog, know the way I was treated. This is not the way you treat customers and they should be ashamed. IF those are the rules of their course, I have no problem with that. BUt that is NOT what I was told over the phone the previous day.
challenging course with hard pin placements
Liked that it challenged u to play good. Fairways are skinny on most holes and greens are tough.
Not very friendly service
We had a tee time set for 945. We were coming from Omaha and knew there was construction on the way so left early. Unfortunately we were stopped for over 20 minutes for roadwork. We arrived to check in. The first thing the man behind the desk said was "we wont be honoring discounted rates in the future if your not on time" i replied that the tee time was at 945. He said yeah thats in 2 minutes. Granted there was only 10 cars in the lot and not one person around the 1st tee box. We said we got stuck in construction and he said "so did i this morning" Never the less we teed off at 948. I used to live at the course and still come all the way from west omaha to play. If i get poor service again i might as well go to one of the 20 courses within 10 miles of me. Kinda disappointed!
Challenging holes, beautiful setting, lots of wildlife
Have always enjoyed Bay Hills, despite drought conditions, the course was maintained well.
A nice course to play.
Overall, I have always enjoyed playing Bay Hills. Due to the recent drought in Omaha and the surrounding area, the course is a little dried out. This has obviously been difficult to maintain the whole course. The greens were in good shape, but the fairways were not as good as they have been in the past. There were areas on the course that usually had rough, but now were dried up and in some cases just dirt. I realize that this course will be better again once we get the much needed rain to help. This problem is not just Bay Hills problem, but the majority of courses in the Omaha area as well. Once we get that rain, Bay Hills will again be one of the better courses in the area. It has a lot of good features, such as undulating terrain for up and down hill shots. The greens are also undulating, which make it a challenge when putting. And it has a variety of different holes with bunkers located around the greens, as well as fairway bunkers. With some holes being tree lined and others wide open, you get the feel of playing more than one course. Overall, Bay Hills is well worth the money spent. Especially when booking it on line through Golf Now!
