Pineview Spruced Up Our Game
It had been awhile since I had played and it was my playing partner's fifth time out ever. The playing conditions were perfect. The course was nicely groomed and provided a good challenge to our humble games. Crowd control was at a minimum at eight in the morning on Friday. Perfect for us hacks. Thanks for the enjoyable round of golf.
Nice course
Although you won't brag to your friends that you played Pine View Spuce, you will be very happy with the bang for your buck. The front nine is very open and long where as the back nine has a northern Michigan feel to it with the woods and the raised elevations.
Nice big course.
Long par 5's, challenging rough, nice scenery. As an average golfer, it is a fun golf course to play.
fun and playable course
had a great time after the group of six that was driving the carts on the greens let us play through.
they did offer us drinks from their cooler though.
loved the layout. 10 and 13 are really special. the greens roll great, and the bunkers were super soft.
Good work
I enjoyed the course and will be back for more soon.
Choose Hemlock over Spruce
The rough was garbage making it difficult to find your ball when you barely missed the fairway. Greens were rock hard making it hard to hold the green. Spruce is definetly the harder or the 2 courses. I recommend Hemlock out of the 2 courses. I always have trouble with Spruce. I shot over 100 on Spruce when I can consistently hit 85-90 on Hemlock.
excellent value
the course is in excellent condition, and the staff was extremely helpful. We showed up a half hour before our scheduled tee time to thinking we would have to stand around and wait, not the case. The very observant and helpful course manager came out and offered to let us get started on the course we didn't even book if we didn't want to stand around and wait! My parents had a membership here 20years ago and although the course slipped for a short period it is back to where it was and beyond for sure. I can't wait to go back!!!
Front 9 was very simple and very dry however back 9 was more entertaining
I paid 10 dollars for 18 and a cart... Who can complain with that! Overall a decent course I would golf again but wouldn't for their asking price
Poor setup
Course was cheap and looked pleasant but rough wasn't maintained at all. Rough just off fairway was extremely long making it very hard to find balls and an over abundance of trees. I think there were at least two holes with trees in the fairway. Ridiculous.
Failed to move the holes on the greens in more than 2 weeks
With 2 eighteen hole courses on sight you never have to wait very long, fairways and green are in fair shape. I only problem I have is that the holes have been in the same place so long that the grass was actually starting to grow into the cups.
