1st: Scenery and golf course vie for the starring role at Waukewan. This first green, blind from the fairway, has a hidden bunker behind it. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
6th: A tight par-5. Here we look back—across the pond--at the ribbon of fairway where the tee shot lands, for those who prefer to stay dry and out of the woods. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
7th: A masterful 3-par, viewed from right flank. This bunker is out of view from the tee, along with another trap on the green’s opposite side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
8th: From behind green. Perhaps one of the most elegant and scenic par-5’s in all of New Hampshire. It’s also tough. This view faces the tee, which is a long way down the immense hill. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020

16th: Another strong hole over a stretch of seven on the back side. Uphill, long par-3 to a perched green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
18th: View behind/left of hole. Pond must be traversed on either 1st or 2nd shot of 4-par: a risk/reward decision. New England scenery, including clubhouse, forms a pleasant backdrop. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020

Course is in great shape
The course is in great shape for this time of year.
Greens were true..
Thank you for your great rating and acknowledgement that our greens are in super condition for this time of year.
Thank you for your great rating of our course.
Great Course
First time the wife and I played at Waukewan. Playing this course was an idea of one of our kids (who plays this course regularly) before Mother's Day cookout. Very surprised at the conditions being so good halfway thru May, barely into Spring. Great bang for your buck. We almost stayed for the back nine but didn't really have enough time. The Tee boxes wee in decent shape and greens were soft enough to hold approach shots but firm enough for somewhat fast putts. The course is good for walkers as well. We don't play a lot of golf since picking up hiking a few years ago but we'll definitely be back to play this course again.
Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts regarding play at the Waukewan Golf Club. Your comments are valued.
Very Muddy, very slow greens
The round was disappointing as the greens looked like they hadn’t been cut in a week, many fairways were damaged by water. I have played Canterbury Woods, Lochmere, and Ridgewood that were all in superb condition compared to this course
Hello Ford Man, and thank you for your fair rating. It has been a difficult year for courses in the area but all courses worked hard to put out their best. Greens are cut daily and we did experience some damage to two of our low lying holes. Oddly enough, the courses mentioned all experienced difficult playing conditions from time to time throughout the summer but we applauded them, not lauded them.
Classic New Hampshire Golf
This course is always in good shape, especially the greens. The online complaint I have is that the rough is usually 4 to 5 inches high, and you can hit a good shot 3 feet of the fareway, , and loose your ball, 5 feet left or right long or short of the green and never find it. Outside of that it is a great value and fun to play, with a challenge on every hole.
Hello Fastnh and thank you for your review and recognizing us as a true classic. Hope you visit with us again.
Beautiful local course
I always enjoy the course layout and conditions at Waukewan. Beautiful views, plenty of verticality and water to enjoy, great with friends.
Thank you for pointing out to others that our course is friendly and boasts some of the best mountain and long golf course views in the area.
Very nice course
More easily identified yardage markers. We had trouble finding them on some holes.
People were friendly and courses was in great condition
Vacation round
Vacationing from Florida. Loved the elevation changes as well as the cooler weather. Mid 70's (Not my score) Rental clubs were top quality 25 years ago, but did the trick, and only $15 rental fee. Greens excellent! Fairways a bit spotty at times, but overall, very good.
Green and lush!
As a Florida resident, I was delighted with the course conditions and layout. The hills were a challenge, since our local courses are all flat. Some of the fairways were a bit spotty, but it IS September. Greens were excellent! Rental clubs were only $15, They were vintage Ping irons, but did the job quite well.
Exceptional greens
Best part of my round were the greens. Very hilly. Many blind holes. Can be tough when course is wet.
