Hole-in-one on Easter
If you are a purest to the game of golf this is NOT the place for you. EASTER SUNDAY my father hit a hole in one at 64 years old after golfing since he was 14. When we went into the pro shop the best they could offer was “congrats?”, “they were not open for the season yet”, and “one has to pay $130 to even get a plaque.” Likewise the claim was made that “close to 100 aces are recorded every year.” While, the course itself was well maintained, the personability and professionalism of the pro shop staff in regard to this circumstance was nonexistent at best. After further email correspondence with the course, the best they could offer was a “printed golf ball” with little to no regard for a LIFETIME feat. I usually try to support local courses to the fullest extent especially in our pandemic state of the world. However, to flat out deny someone the recognition of a lifetime is flat-out ridiculous. I hope this serves as a reminder that although a course may be well maintained and have a “good” reputation, the attitude of the individuals running the establishment towards this wonderful game speaks further volumes than anything, I hope further investigation and review is put into this matter.
The golf course is in great shape!
Really enjoyed the round. The greens are rolling really great and the course is in great condition overall. A real treat!
Good and challenging.
Felt that the course was in good condition and it was a bit different in the way it is layed out. Very interesting.
Great
Great price and great course, has it's challenges. Good for any golfer.
True roller
Greens were speedy rolled true through entire 18. A couple holes were gimmicky (lay up holes for the average golfer, leaving longer second shots.
Both courses are worth playing
If you want to play a course that you use every club in your bag, short scenic holes, long challenging holes, and par 4s that have different lengths and shapes. Greens that roll true and really makes you get both speed and break correct. Great staff that are both friendly and helpful. Look forward to playing both of them again.
Meh
Nice people, nice greens. The rest...not so much! Tees, fairways, and rough were in terrible condition. Also prepare to get eaten alive be mosquitos. Probably wouldn't return unless deal was amazing
PineView - Hemlock
Course played well and dried quickly from the morning dew as we had a 7:34 tee time.
Great greens
Greens were in great shape , rolled true , the layout is nice easy to find your way around , staff was friendly , having said that, a little maintenance was in order , most trash cans were over flowing , and some easy weed pulling would have helped , over all we liked it and would play again , a lot of courses struggle , I hope this one can overcome , it's a diamond in the ruff !
Beautiful and challenging!
First time my husband and I have played. We had a great time! It has a nice layout and it was easy to find our way around the course. We are already planning to come back to play the other course.
Nice Course
The greens are in great shape. They roll really nice. They was mowing the day we played.
Amazingly opposite of disappointment
I have played this course several times over the past years and there is no other bang for your buck! Greeted by staff as soon as I walk in and back on the course within moments! Actually love both courses here and have played each side over 50 times! Thanks for the great experience. LOVE Fridays $20.00 for 18/cart!
Well mantained
The course was in great shape! Sand traps were raked, greens rolled true. Great experience.
Definitely play again.
Thank you for the kind words. Hope to see you again soon.
My experience at Pine Viev GC
I played this course yesterday and I had mixed feelings about the all around satisfaction. First of all, the guy in the pro shop was extremely nice and very professional. As far as the golf, the fairways were way too long. I'm not sure if they just didn't mow them recently or if thy actually keep them like that? Other than that I think the course was in good condition. Lastly, the old lady who served my friends and I at the bar was extremely rude and unwelcoming when we were there! She honestly made us mad when we made the turn. Hopefully she was just having a bad day but that was very unprofessional and I hope that if we ever go back we don't have to deal with her.
We are very sorry your lunch at the turn wasn't enjoyable . I will talk with my staff and correct that asap. Will not happen again. Thank you for playing Pine view
To say the Tees, Fairways and rough are in "Terrible Condition" seems a little harsh. We have had 20 inches of rain in two weeks. Our grounds crew does and amazing job. As for Mosquitoes, unless you live in the middle of a dry cornfield they are every where in the county.
