Great Course and Conditions
I play here about 4 times per month. The course is in great shape and friendly staff. A must play.
Slow and wet
Tees were all dirt due to winter play. Greens were in excellent shape for this time of year, but course way too wet. That meant cart path only, which caused a slow round.
Winter conditions
Obviously the winter conditions prevail at WCC and I believe the fee is a little steep for that. Though my round ended with a very high note. The finishing hole at par 3 #9 off of blue tee at ~160 yards gave me a hole-in-one using my 6 iron swing into the wind capping my first round of the year!
Great day at Windham CC.
Perfect weather for October, 75 and sunny. Course was in pretty good condition after all the rain on Friday. Pace was a bit slow but it was a Sunday so that should be expected. Greens were in great shape.
Technical course
Challenging course. Very hilly. Some fairways a little rough but playable. Will definitely play this course again to better my score
Course was in EXCELLENT condition and challenging.
Great course and...
Course is in great shape. Greens were perfect. I think one or two tee boxes were a bit worn. But its the staff that makes it A+.
Always a fun round
Great course to play. Weather was a little tough, but did clear up. However, the groups in front of us were painfully slow with pretty poor golf etiquette, so the pace was awful. Will still golf here, just hope I pick a better time next outing.
Country Beauty
My wife and I played the course for the first time. The approach into the clubhouse club drop off was very nice. Clubhouse and Pro Shop are high on the hill. Putting green was very inviting indeed. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The gas golf carts were a must on this hilly course. We joined up with two (2) youngsters for three (3) holes on the front named Adam and Ryan and both were fun, welcoming and talkative. Then on the back nine we joined two (2) older gentlemen named Ed and Dave and they loved golf and made us feel right at home. All in all it was a very nice day of golf. If you get the chance put your head in the wind at Windham CC.
Windham Country Club - A lot to like
There’s is a lot to like about this course. Staff are friendly and accommodating. John the starter was a joy to chat to before the round and the lady in the pro shop was kind enough to lend me a club wrench to tighten my hybrid club head. The course is in very good shape considering the rain that’s fallen in NH this summer. It’s soft in places but not to the detriment of a good driver etc. It’s not an easy track by any means and a shot out of position is likely going to end in a double or triple bogey so there’s plenty of thinking to be done along the way.
Negatives are pace of play wasn't great, 4 hours 45 for a 4 ball with waiting on every tee box on the back 9 was a bit much.
The tee boxes could use a bit of work. A lot of them are uneven to the point you are teeing off with the ball above your feet.
Overall it was an enjoyable round for my first round in NH!
Windham CC
Pretty hot and muggy, cart path only as the course was still wet from three days of rain. We played as a twosome and finished in just over three hours as the course was pretty wide open. Fairways and greens were in really good condition.
Thought the pro shop lacked customer friendly skills! Ask a question and you get a round about wise answer from them!
