Green Knoll Golf Course
About
Green Knoll Golf Course in Bridgewater Township has a varied terrain that provides a unique character to the course. The course sprawls across gently rolling hills dappled with mature trees. Much of the course's challenges are a result of the tricky contours. Some of the elevation changes are dramatic but there are also some subtle ones, which can be just as tricky. Further accuracy is required to maneuver the tight fairways. There are definitely challenges in store throughout but overall the golf course's playability appeals to all skill levels, from novices to avid golfers. It measures a manageable 6,443 yards from the back tees. In addition to the 18-hole course, there is also a nine-hole pitch-and-putt course. Green Knoll is one of five golf courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission.

First time in a long time
Hasn’t played here in over a year (live in another county) but always enjoy the course. While it was twilight we got stuck behind a ground of 4 high school/college age kids who slowed us to the point of cutting 3-4 holes off what we could get in before sunset - this is not an exaggeration. Holes ahead groups were backed up but they had no urgency whatsoever without anyone immediately ahead of them.
Course is great value for the money, fairways and greens are in better condition than many public courses around.
Great course
If you shoot in the 90s you’ll appreciate this course. It’s not pro level but it has some really gorgeous holes and 90s guys have a shot at 80s!!
The rough is like swinging through cement.
So the place didn't have enough golf carts so I had to ride with a stranger. Not terrible but at $70 for 18 holes I'd expect my own cart if I wanted. The rough right off the fairway is obnoxious.
Great a open space course!
Their greens are slickband their rough is unforgiving.
Enjoyable time
It was one of the first days in the mid 90s so it was hot but the breeze alleviated some of the heat and made it a good day.
Fairways were in good shape. Greens were a bit slow. Anything uphill needed that extra oomph while it wasn't a true roll when putting downhill. The only real downside was the rough was very thick so getting the ball out was well rough. I guess that was expected. But the main issue was trying to find the ball if it made it into the rough. Lost a couple of balls because of it.
Overall it is a nice course to play and the day turned out to be terrific.
If recommend playing this course as it has challenges but is pretty fair of you hit the fairways.
Green Knoll
Green Knoll's 18-hole course is a fun course. Some challenging holes but overall I enjoy the layout and the challenge.
The practice green is pretty good, not sure there's a single flat lie though.
No range, which is something I look forward to for warmup.
Great Public Course
Course was in tremendous shape and the greens were fabulous. Staff was very friendly. All in all a great day of golf.
