Melreese Golf Course at International Links
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 03/2023.
The Melreese golf course at International Links is where Tiger Woods made his first professional appearance in south Florida. The championship course, which has six sets of tees, features rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. It is a tight golf course featuring five lakes that come into play on 14 holes. To make up for the damages caused by Hurricane Andrew, the golf course has been outfitted with replanted tall live oak and palm trees that can affect shots. There are also nearly 100 sand bunkers present on the course. The Melreese course's signature hole is the par-4 14th, which is nicknamed "Heartbreak Ridge." It has water alongside the right side of the fairway all the way from the tee to the green, and it requires an approach shot past water to an island green. The International Links facility also offers a lighted driving range and putting green.

Stay away
Nobody here knows how to play golf. It’s a Miami trash dump. We had people hit into us while we were on the green on a par 3. Not once, but twice. They were 20yr olds who had no etiquette. Our tee time was 11:45 and we didn’t actually tee of until 12:30 because it was so backed up. Then it was a 5hr round.
The BEST Public Course in Miami!
The Beauty of the greens and fairways will take your breath away! I thought that the planes flying overhead intermittently would distract me; however it too was also a thing of beauty. I loved the fact that it was a challenging course, that gave me quite a work out! I can’t wait to play there again!
Fun day
Staff was great, nice layout, unfortunately had to wait in every hole because group ahead moved like turtles
Ridiculous staffing
Tee time was 818 got to the course at 815 waiting in line to get to the ticket counter for 5 minutes. I think his name was Michael said we just gave your tee time away. Ok just two of us work us in, can't get you in until 3. Was rude and really didn't care. Your in the business of customer service and I can't imagine as bad as traffic is in Miami they haven't experienced this before. I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend this place and if I'm the ownership I feel you need to have a customer service training day.
Noisy and not safe
You can hear loud airplane take off every 2 minutes or so and you can hit the car on the highway from your tee box
International Links
Fairways are just average, greens at cut way to short , overbooked ,therefore pace is 3 per hour !! not worth the $$
Course in top shape
When in shape and not overcrowded, this is the best value in Miami-Dade County. Such was the case yesterday. Condition of the course was immaculate. Tough but fair test. And best of all, play kept moving. Finished the round in 4:10.
