Flanders Valley Golf Club - White/Blue Course
About
Flanders Valley Golf Course has received praise as not only one of the best public golf courses in New Jersey, but also as one of the best in the U.S. Flanders offers two 18-hole championship courses, White-to-Blue and Red-to-Gold. The courses are spread across over 400 acres of Morris County's idyllic countryside. The White-to-Blue Course has a more traditional layout that sprawls across mostly flat terrain. The golf course may lack elevation changes but there are an abundance of mature trees to contend with on either side of the course, making it very tight in some spots. One of the most memorable holes is the par-4 14th, nicknamed "Top and Right." This slight dogleg left hole has a pond bordering the entire left side of the fairway.

Pretty, memorable finisher! Photo submitted by MarkMolyneux on 11/16/2015
Ehhh, as a county course not that impressed.
Unfortunately the day I played there the greens on the white and blue courses had just been top dressed with sand, and yet we were still charged the full greens fees for our round. There are many browned out areas of the rough on every hole. There are dirt ruts all over the course as well. And the bunkers need a lot of tender loving care. Otherwise its unfortunately a less than memorable county golf course. Too bad, enjoyed this place so much in my 20's.
cold windy day
played blue to white. course in excellent condition for april. weather was cold, windy and some rain. other wise a great day
Gold to Red...............
From very wet, very muddy on Gold to a better Red back nine.
Gold is hilly (nice layout) but very challenging especially if you're not standing in a dry section of the fairway(!). Second, third cuts, out of bounds are automatic 'take a drop'. Tee boxes, bunkers were so so, but the greens were surprisingly above average.
The Red is nice, mostly flat, open, less challenging (dryer) but fun and forgiving.
Staff is very nice and accomodating.....next time trying the Blue/White.
Great open and very walkable
Course is great, conditions are very good, stuffs are very friendly. I like the open and wide fairways. As beginner, is very good, definitely going back.
Great December Golf
Still playing in December is a treat in itself. Rained yesterday so knew it would be wet. We walk so no carts on course made no difference. The fairways and greens were in very good shape considering the time of year. It was quiet so we played the course just under 3 hours and 45 minutes. Traps still had water so we decided that the ball can be played from behind the trap when needed. Course in scenic and as a senior with a new hip and bad knees I love that there is a bench by every tee box. All in all a great day of golf.
Good value
Course was in great shape for
November. Staff is very friendly but slow play (5 hours) partly due to a frost delay
Great Summer Day in late Oct
Very crowded for a perfect day but it was worth it in late Oct. Course was in very good shape.
