Farmstead Golf & Country Club - Clubview/Valleyview Course
About
The Clubview nine, which opened in 1963, is the original course at the 27-hole Farmstead Golf & Country Club, located in northwest New Jersey, approximately one hour from New York City. Offering a traditional mix of par 3s, par 4s and par 5s, accuracy is key on the Byron Phoebus-designed course. The Clubview nine closes with two very demanding holes, the long par-4 eighth, with an approach shot over water, and the par-3 ninth, which is surrounded by water.

Great course
Farmstead has 3 nines which adds to its charm. There are great views with interesting layouts of several holes. The staff are also great
NIce cool spring weather playing long
The course is in good condition. Play the course in sunny day with temperature at 50 some degree. We finish in a little over 3 hours.
farmstead
good day to play golf! played with father-son who didnt belong on the course! they couldnt break 200! lucky they quit on 12. otherwise good deal shot 78!!!!!
Great course
So the course is great but the person I was paired up with made playing super stressful as he was yelling at other players. He went off a few times to smoke weed, would have thought it mellowed him out but seemed to make him more agitated. The course and staff are nice and I will be back with my regular golf partner. I'll be reluctant to book a time where I don't play with someone I know.
farmstead-good deal
fun playing from gold tees.greens slow but ok 3 pin locators way off and missing 2 pin locators .fw-tee box ok course is good deal for$
farmstead-good deal
good deal course was good greens good but not holding!6 times the flag on the pin was wrong show pin location as much as 2 clubs!!!!!
Great shape and easy to walk
Course was in great shape for it being this early in the season. We walked and it was pretty wide open until the last couple holes. Staff was very friendly which in the past wasn’t always the case. Only complaint is no cart girl or halfway house but the restaurant was open. It’s early in the year so I’m sure they’ll be better staffed as the season progresses.
Poor course management
Group in front of us smoking pot which i really didn’t care about, but when two of them threw up on whole 3 and then again on whole 7 , no course management at the time , very slow pace of play. The course is in ok shape , definitely pricey for what it is, but layout is very good. Staff isn’t the friendliest. Unless it’s something I find cheap on GolfNow I won’t be back.
