Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Terrible shape
This course should not even be taking tee times, we were told it’s in bankruptcy, fairways were so high we lost balls in grass, high grass everywhere brownout conditions, drove hr and 15 mins for this crap! Stay away until someone buys and restores it to at least decent conditions!!
Worst conditions I have ever played
The fairways have 0 grass, just weeds and dirt. The greens have massive dirt patches, you can’t even roll a putt without it hitting patches and ruining your line. And it was 70 bucks! I wouldn’t play here if it costed 30 bucks, because it was that bad.
Worst course ever
I would rather play in a cow pasture. Horrible greens, fairways with more weeds than grass, no ball washers, and no drinking water for players.
The rate was good but they shoul have paid me to play there.
Left after 10 holes
Apparently the course is bank owned and in complete shambles!!! All fairways and holes are in disrepair, clubhouse closed, no AC on in clubhouse… don’t even know how they can charge for the course at all!!!
Horrible
This is probably one of the worst courses I have ever played in the entire South Jersey area. Certainly not worth the money and the course is in the worst shape I have ever seen. There is no fairways, the roughs are truly rough, and the greens are atrocious. Until this course is improved upon I will not be returning again. Save your money play somewhere else.
Pathetic
I would call this course a goat farm - except even goats wouldn't go here. Without question, the worst-conditioned course I have ever played (and I play close to 100 rds/yr). Fungus on the greens, poor turf on the fairways, horrible sand traps... and worst of all, they still have the nerve to charge $69!!! DO NOT GO HERE. If you can't get a tee time anywhere else, then go bowling. Do anything - but don't go here.
Burned out
Haven’t been there in 30 years it’s a shame could be a great course just completely burned out greens and fairways
Course is in Rough Shape
Tee boxes and greens were ok on most holes but the fairways are essentially nonexistent. This course has slipped in quality over the years but is still playable if you are looking for a quick round and low cost compared to other courses around.
Not worth it
The best part of this round was interacting with the course staff (which was only 3 people) and the fact that there was only 1 other golfer on the course. The course was in terrible shape with the back 9 being a little better than the front 9. Definitely not worth it, hopefully the owner makes some much needed changes
Was probably very good years ago
The layout of the course and the fact no one else was playing when I went were the best parts.
The bad parts are many sadly. Fairways are in terrible condition. Sand traps and mostly dirt and rocks. Greens a good thankfully.
Sadly on a 90 degree day there was zero water on the course.
Also what looks like a nice tavern that they advertise on their site has been closed for a few years now.
Worst course I’ve ever played, by far
I mean the staff was friendly but that’s about the only good thing i could say about this course. They should be thrown in jail for charging 70 dollars. Tee boxes were either dirt or 2 inch high grass. Hit a good shot in the fairway? You have to move it every time to even attempt to find some sort of mixture of grass/weeds to hit. Greens were like putting on shaggy carpet or dirt. Bunkers were full of rocks. I don’t know when the last time they used a lawnmower. My suggestion is if you’re in AC and want to golf find somewhere else or don’t go golfing. I’ve played a lot of bad courses in my life that i would play again for fun, this one isn’t even playable my boys will never let me live it down that i booked this
