Hamilton Trails Country Club
About
The championship-length, nine-hole golf course at Hamilton Trails Country Club, designed by Bill Choltko, is a public course that does not require advanced tee time bookings. The club's fees are very reasonable making it a popular choice among casual golfers and locals. Its central location in Atlantic City makes it accessible from both Ocean City and Atlantic City. The maintenance of the golf course often varies, but it provides a good game for the value. The course can be easily walked but carts are an option. The longest tees are 3,265 yards playing to a par of 36. Although not the most challenging course, it is an inexpensive option to get some practice.

Affordable golf course
Hamilton Trails is a great course for the price! You can play a quick 9 holes with a cart or you have the option to walk. The staff was very helpful and they offer daily specials and golf lessons with an LPGA pro.
This place has really gone downhill -- don't waste your time
This used to be a fun course for a quick 9 -- or even 18 -- but most everything about it has gotten much worse over the years. The staff -- once a friendly group -- is not only snarly and rude, but twice I was accused of attempting to play 18 holes and paying for 9, although it wasn't true either time. In fact, the guy who confronted me was the guy who checked me in at their clubhouse.
Besides all that, the course is in bad shape and filled with a really bad mix of seniors, newbies and bad golfers, which makes for very long rounds.
Don't waste your money here. I'll never be back myself.
Funa and a Great Value
Hamilton Trails is the only regulation length 9-hole course at the Jersey Shore. It's has a nice variety of holes, it's conveniently located and is an exceptional value for the very affordable greens fees. Relative to the price, the course is well maintained and pace of play is usually very good. A good track for beginners, seniors and anyone who is more interested in a fun and enjoyable round of golf than a championship caliber golf course. With 4 and 1/2 hour rounds the norm these days, you can play 9 at Hamilton Trails in under two hours, or 18 in less than 4.
