Incompetent pro shop staff greet you before you trek through neglected wasteland. Since carts were not made available, scuba gear should have been provided to adequately navigate the mud swamps that await you. The starter tells you there will be a shotgun start after a frost delay, but rudely responds “figure it out” re: your grouping and opening hole once you inquire. After teeing off on 8, we played the par three ninth and headed to the back 9. Drenched, we get ready to tee off on 17 but the Head Grouch pulls up in a cart and starts barking at us about the back 9 being closed and to head to the other side of the course immediately. Laughing at the backlog of groups waiting to tee off on 1, we decided to leave and vowed not to return. Don’t waste your time or $ here.
Course is in horrible condition
For the money they are charging for a course that is mostly mud is robbery. I mean fairways, rough, all over the place. I met with friends here during the summer & i thought they were repairing these areas. 3 months later it's even worse then it was. We lost balls in 60ft long mudd puddles in & off the fairway. They should be ashamed. If they charged $20 for 18 holes with a cart, i still wouldn't come back & they are charging 4 times that...crazy. clubhouse & food is nice.
Perfect Mid level course
This course is one i havent played in almost a decade and in that time it has just become better, the fairways are wide enough youre not worried about a bad shot going onto another hole but narrow enough you have to plan your shots. This will definitely be a course that i play regularly.
Really good course
This course could be perfect. Greens were pristine and well maintained. The fairways however were scattered with bare spots, ditches and large muddy unplayable patches. Where there was grass, they were perfect. If they could only fix those dirt patches, I would give this place 5 stars.
Ash Brook
Great round, with wonderful people I played with. We really had a nice time
Great Deal
The state on NJ instituted a county residency “GreenAcres” program back in the 90’s. If you are a county member you can purchase a play card, which enables you to play county golf courses at a reduced rate. Since I live in an adjoining county by 3 miles I would have to purchase an out of county play card for Senior $175. With that card with a cart my fee would be $37.
With Tee Off I can get “Hot Deal” and play for $47. No need to pay for the county card.
With TeeOfff it’s a great deal
