Drainage is terrible
Played twice two days after the rain. The course was very muddy and wet every time. Can't ask more for the price.
Good value for golf in February in NJ
The East Orange course in on flat land that has poor drainage. The course is known to be wet and soft. However, the course is playable. The greens are bumpy, but again playable. The club house has a nice bar and good food. If you want to play golf in NJ in the winter and do not mind soft conditions, then try East Orange Golf Course.
Course was OK but we booked with Electric Cart but due to weather could not ride so used pull cart can we money back? From whom?
Good deal in November
Other than leaves, course was in great condition. Not muddy as you would expect in Nov. In the 30s today so course wasnt crowded.
Staff is always pleasant to get our day started. Enthusiastic starter is always a treat. I love this course and it's a local gem.
Fun for the average golfer
The fair ways are pretty narrow on most holes, but other than that a fun course to play and work on your swing. Wide range of different hole layouts with a few obstacles. Easy for an above average golfer, but a decent challenge for the golfers who golf a few times a month.
Fun local course, chance for a low score
I hadn't been to this course for about two years, but was happy to see it's been well-maintained and I'd forgotten how much fun it is. A nice variety of par-3s, 4s, and 5s, with some narrow and some wide fairways. It's a fair course, but if you can handle the fast greens, you can score low.
Nice day for a walk
Played on an October Wednesday, the day after a big rain. It was windy, but dry. We zipped around in 3.5 hours. Greens were very fast. Rest of course was well maintained. Grass cut and leaves blown.
Great course for the $$.
Bring your own water; they do not sell any and they are bad about filling the on course buckets.
Good course for the price
Pace of play is rough. a lot of elderly slow people and no rangers to speed them up. Besides that a great course. Challenging but not too much. Will definitely be back
We're glad you enjoyed your round despite the pace of play on this day. We look forward to your next round with us very soon!
Really not bad
Got this tee time on a hot deal for $40 18 holes and a cart. Really good deal. Even after a night of rain, the course wasn’t too bad. I would say the only bad things were a couple of greens looked patched together and the occasional green with leaves on. For a public course it was properly maintained. Greens definitely ran fast. Took just over three hours to finish 18 holes with a twosome. There weren’t any water hazards and layout was not as challenging as other public courses.
We're glad you found value in our golf course. Be sure to come play again soon!
